I'm certainly not an expert in giving reviews but I'll share what I like and didn't like about my stay in Microtel this weekend:

The structure fo the building is simple but the landscape and the outer areas (lounge, beach front, dining area, etc..) are not common. I lovvvveee their perimeter overflow swimming pool! Utterly Upscale!

The geometric furnitures, the walls are divine. I have one favorite, the orange wall, with the clock (ClockWork Orange eh?) and across it, the wall with the black and white triangles.

The only thing I didn't like about it is probably the area, it's small compared to the usual we have (other beaches in the area) but they made up for it. They used white alot, the bar by the beach is awesooommmmmme! There was another pool by the bar, but Im not sure if it was indeed a SPOOL - i didnt' bother to ask...

I'll attach the pic of my favorite wall taken by a close friend.

we just had our overnyt stay at Microtel Mactan, it was crowded since it happened to be a long weekend plus there were 2 events at the same day.. but even so, we enjoy the place, our room, the swimming pool and the white sands... the kids loved the pool very much since there are 3 pools, we can leave the kids at d kiddie pool or at the jacuzzi and us at the bigger pool. they also have water rides, kayaking, banana boat and more. a good relaxation at the bar and at there terrace under their umbrellas. unfortunately restaurant and bar closes at 10p.m ,but they still have their 24 hours room delivery but only few choices of foods and drinks. about their service, it was not bad. Check out their retro-modern features like, their lobby phones, room cube clock (lights up when u tap it), ice maker on some floors, kids lounge and more...

The place is nice. Rooms are adequate in space and neat. The area may seem little but how it was designed made up for it. Food was great when we were there.

    And yes, coffee was superb.

In the end, cowards are those who follow the dark side.
