ang social climber mao ng mga tao nga gadamgo. poor nga gusto pa arun ingon rich kaayo to escape reality. mo matter nila ang clothes dapat branded daw pero UK diay gikan. mo head to foot ug tao kung bati ang gisulob. ipa show off tanan gadget like ipod [dummy ra diay to], high end fone [casing ra diay nga look alike sa high end nya way load pirmi], shades nga social brand pero gipapitlan ra diay ug brand tag 20php ra diay to. ang ila kuno pang kan-on kay mga laysho kaayo like majestic etc etc pero kung agdun ug kaon mo ingon lang busug way gana ug uban pa pero inig uli sa balay pirting habhab sa lamesa kay gigutom. daghan pako ug masulti oi pero kana lang sa kay kontrahan nya ko sa mga naigo. mao kahibaw ko ani kay naka EX ko ug ingon ani.

Social climber can mean a lot of things and to different people. For me a social climber is somebody who associates him/herself with others who are way up of their league and try to keep up with their lifestyle. This is very evident in the youth today. Students spend their allowances while yuppies spend their hard earned income as if there's no tomorrow and hang out with rich people (generally). Despite the lack or scarcity of financial resources, these people go to expensive bars, coffee shops, buy expensive dresses and accessories, and talk, act, and feel as if they are rich.

Money is a status symbol of today's generation, if you have money, you are up there, you are famous, you are loved (probably a very shallow), and everybody wants to be with you. That's what a lot of people want or at least being associated with.

What could be the cause of being a social climber? It's insecurity. Social climbers are generally people who's got issues with themselves, people who lack self esteem and has low moral. To compensate for their self-pity, they act defensive as if they are up there or try their very best to be up there.

id like to point out also that getting into establishments frequented by social elites doesnt make one social climber. so buying a cup of coffee from starbucks whether takeout or not doesnt make u a social climber. it s ur false self that makes u one.

Naa juy tawo nga social climber noh? Unsa kahay advantages ani? Disadvantage nuon naa, lumos ka sa utang kon moawat jud ka sa mga kwrtahan. I hate social climbers but wala tay mahimo kay ilaha man pod na, basta down to earth lang gud ta low profile bahala nana sila dha mga social climber as long as wala ta hilabti ug wala nangutang nato para ilakwatcha lang nila hehehe..
