Im not a muslim but just try to post my idea, I think the conflict starts way before when moses and his people entered the Promise land (canaan). The land is already been occupied with different tribes isa na ani mga una nga palestinians, then according to the Bible, they(lead by Joshua) inavade canaan and other nation/kingdoms there. Nya naa sad sa bible nga wa nila gihurot ug patay tanan occupants didto, mao ni an modern nga mga palistino ron, liwat sah nahibilin. ug Mao ni an conflict, Mga palestinian niangkon nga ila ning yuta sa Israel kay sila man sad jud naka una ani ug puyo sa una pa. Nya an mga Israelites kay ingun man sad mao nah yuta gi promise sa Ginoo nila... I dont think mahuman ni nga problem. unless naay isa ka side nga ma wipe out...

Just my thought...

that's the biblical version of it. believe me, there's a much later version of this conflict and it has all the political agenda and flavorings in it. malic has posted it already. read it on the thread "a 2nd look at islam."

Yes even those that are not Abraham's descendants were to be circumcised as long as they are in Abraham's household.. A household is not a religion

the point is circumcision is prescribe even to those who are Gentiles. Question is when you are in the HOUSEHOLD of Abraham are you still a Gentile? Nope.

You have to understand also that Judaism came after Abraham. There was no religion called Judaism during his time. Now when Moses came he also included the law of circumcision in the Torah following God's instruction that this covenant should be an everlasting covenant and anyone who wish to follow the religion of God(judaism) must submit himself to the covenant of circumcision.

therefore, Abraham's household as time passed could mean, within the context of the Torah and the Abrahamic covenant,Religion.

How can you say that the bible is the word of GOD when it it has so many flaw and errors? Even GOD did not ask to write a book much less this bible which is full of errors.
