good that you didn't pursue what you started... wise move there... but i should say that just because a girl agreed for you to court her and she denied having a boyfriend, doesn't necessarily mean that she intends to be unfaithful to her boyfriend one..
what if she feels unimportant and having someone asking her out makes her feel significant...
what if she is just really lonely for the time being and the boyfriend can't fill that emptiness she currently is feeling? i don't want to judge her by that action itself, try to see the big picture... she probably needs to be heard...
be a good friend to that girl, anyway you like her so there is really nothing much to lose - just make sure you know your limits...
