You have to get your facts straight. The number one land owner is the Philippine government! The very same government that steals our taxes and stuffs them into the pockets of politicians like GMA and her cronies.

And most government land lies idle. At least the Church generally puts much of its land to good use, and the money is used to help the poor and provide a wide range of services to the people. The Catholic Church does more for the poor than any other private entity in the Philippines. Its services even rivals that of the Philippine government. It certainly does more than your YOUR pitiful "church". Maybe YOUR "church" should be taxed since it does nothing for the government, but the Catholic Church even does the government's job!

The Philippine government cannot even provide decent services for the people. It needs the Church and its facilities. Instead of giving taxes to thieves as demanded by GMA lapdogs and Marcos loyalists, we should give the money to those whop have shown they can manage it better: the Church.

By the way, Cebu Doctor's Hospital is a Catholic hospital.

Check out the enrollment figures for these catholic schools in the Cebu archdiocese. Take these away and see if the rotten government can handle 57,000 more students? That's a laugh!

The Church is the single most important private instittution that is doing the government's job for them. You babbkle about fairness? To be fair, the government should be paying the Church.

But we're not even asking for that. We just want the government to respect the Constitution and keep it's dirty hands of the Church's beneficial work. The government will only ruin it with its corruption.

And I noticed you avoided answering my question: what does your pitiful "church" do to take up the government's lack of services?

It's stupid to tax religion, specially in the Phils. We woud not have had EDSA I without the Church. No democracy. And besides the Church does so much for the people. They spend more than thery get exmpted. Can the government do as much when they are busy stealing our money?

No way! I would rather give my hard-earned money to the Church and charity than to PGMA and her corrupt cronies. Avoid taxes if you can! Why should we finance those thieves?

  8. #48
Because those thieves maintain the roads you pass by everyday, the public services that keep your home city alive, the funding of infrastructure projects, the peace and order and many more. Hope your hard-earned money and the Church can do that. Church money aint exactly thief-proof.

Oh yeah, and I should thank them for the potholes too, since they stole so much that the roads are often of poor quality. Wow, I should LOOOOOOVE them for stealing so much of my tax money but they can still "maintain" the absolutely well-funded and perfect government public services.

    NUTS.

I wonder why the Church still has to bail out this rotten government by performing services the government should be doing? There sure would be a lot less roads and city services if this rotten government had to build and maintain the services that the Church provides.

Ooopss! I forgot. We can't be thankful for that help pala. The government is doing perfectly fine without the help pala. It's prohibited to credit the Church for helping out pala. Financing thieves is good pala.

    NUTS.
