@psyche_08, bro i'll pm u sa breakdown

i have plans changin' my hobby from computer to scuba diving.
how much would i invest (basics)?
in the net we can get less than $60 for a snorkel kit (mask,snorkel,fins).
any price estimate (local stores)?
then time will come upgradin' to scuba diving..
plans also to get a PADI open water license
buy my own tank, bcd, computer etc.

I know a a first class dive center located inside a 5-star resort here in Mactan. Their local price for an Open Water Course is only P12, 500.
For anyone who is serious about getting certified, the best time would be to do it this year. I heard that next year (will start Jan.1, 2006), PADI will be requiring all dive centers and Instructors to integrate the cost of the PADI student manuals into the course price. Its pretty normal practice to give the student the option of buying a book or just using the ones from the shop.
You will definitely go home with a PADI book but the course will be a bit more expensive. Considering the cost of Open Water Manual is already around P3,000, I don't think the Instructors will allow to have their share of the course fee deducted with that price. Courses will definitely be higher.
Murag presyo sa gasolina ba.

buhion ko ni ug balik nga thread, napa bay mga divers dire sa istorya? maybe we can organize a weekend getaway bisan dire lang within sa opon islands, unsa man mga peeps?![]()

pila kaha gasto kung mag diving bro?
kun certified naka rentals nalang sa equipments imong bayran, between 800-1000 pesos, pero kun naa naka imong equipments tanks nalang gyud imong bayran. kaso we will still have to pay for the boat especially kon sa islands ta mo-dive, that's between 2-3k, depende sa location, mao mas ok unta kon daghan ta ninyo mo-dive para mas makaminus gyud ta sa gasto. pwede ra pod ta beach entry kun di mo gusto mo-dive by boat, marigondon has a very nice underwater cave, though i wouldn't advice this for the beginners.
up! still waiting for other diving enthusiast![]()
