Look at your attitudes hinawayon mo bisan unsa diri from taxis to waiters to fashion, do you feel any shame kung unsa pud nang city ninyo? I've been to your city and for years out of my personal ethics did not have to bother narrating those ugly sights I saw. Pero kung ingon-ana man pud kinaiya hinawayon well then they deserve more of it after all. Kani prankahanay lang ha kesa maghinipokrito ng mga hinawayon sa inyo kay para kaamgo mo kung unsa kaplastic nang nanaway ninyo.

Frankly when I went there I was shocked. I saw right in a downtown area ( downtown ba to mura ma'g palengke ug ambiance sa kahugaw pero wala man pud palengke) gatapok nga basura sa dalan singtaas na sa tao. And the streets are very dirty. Naa pa tong usa ka building nga garapal nilampas na sa dalan ang structure that shows how corrupt the officials are, as commented by a local. Some of yuo even nanaway sa fashion diri which is amusing because Davao people are known to be simple but elegant in the way they present themselves. Even a foreigner commented that the low income people here still managed to dress presentably compared to the abject poverty he saw in Manila or Cebu. Sa tinud-anay lang kanang fashion dinha jologs by my standards, dili man pud gaanong baduy pero pilit pa-impress to the point it's definitely not called simple elegance. I didn't include na lang tong blatant na gyud poverty bisan naa sa syudad ang suot gagutay-gutay, it's a small city pero unfortuntely one immediately notices the wide gap between rich and poor there. We went to LKK but I really didn't bother with it kasi bored na ko sa malls daghan man sa Davao, glorietta pud nga inyong gi-compare sa LKK tinud-anay lang so-and-so lang nako. I would rather prefer the landscapes in glorietta mall.

I would rather admire Davao for their practicality kay sa kadako sa syudad diri unlike sa inyo we would rather that we reach our destination the practical yet efficient way. Mas dapat sawayon nang mga hinawayon abogado taga CDO ba na sila, how pathetic they behave like immature sourgrapers.

As far as forumers are concerned the issue of CDO's claim of "golden friendship" are in question. yes some part of the city are kind of untidy, may mga squaters, at iba pang ma pintas sa city namin, we admit it. but, from the very beginning ive never heard people from davao any pintas sa syudad nila, puro admiration. ingun ana jud diay ka perfect inyo city? ive been to davao pero cge i wont enumerate nalang kay basin mo react na sab mo. you say corrupt officials namo? try to look at your mayor, he is putting the law at his hand, wala ka bang comment jan? and pls dont say it is for the good and security of your city, because if it is sana wala ng bombing issue sa inyo syudad, no offense ha.

to that lawyer from Davao, is he a lawyer? he never voice out what he noticed about Kagayanons (if it they were from CDO jud) instead dri jud sya nagbagutbot, why? to tell the whole Pinas unsa ka maut attitude sa uban tao? if he is really a lawyer well he should act professionally and not suppress the feeling tapos ipa boto dri.

One thing we cannot deny is that we still belong to one island, Mindanao.

Now that we are able to vent our fumes, let us learn from the lessons and go on. I would like to present this persepctive.

Davao and CDO need not compete with each other. Face the reality that it would be inappropriate for CDO to be pitted with Davao because the discrepancy would be very wide and both have potential being in vast Mindanao where there's much room to grow, except that Davao has the edge when it comes to population, resources, location (CDO for domestic, Davao for International), and even tourism potentials.

But Davao and CDO can complement with each other. Davao brings more priority to its environment given her innate and unique beauty that will make the whole country proud. This will actually give advantage to CDO for your city will facilitate Mindanao's heavy industries as it may not be Davao's priority. Davao would prefer light and medium sized industries (although Davao's nearby provinces are open for heavy industries) and Service-based businesses so it would be appropriate for Davao to be Mindanao's service Center as it is groomed to be a clean & green, filled with natural attractions for her visitors, orderly and peaceful, a truly metropolitan Global City that will showcase this part of our country to the world. Davao's success will be CDO's success and vice versa, and ultimately the success of Mindanao and the country in general.

However, here is a more appropriate challenge for CDO. CDO need not compete with Davao as not only are both Mindanaoan cities that should complement each other, but it's just hard fact that Davao will have the edge in terms of population, resources, potential and capacity for growth, it would be difficult for your energies if you dare to overtake Davao for understandably the latter will have its passion and drive also. However, when given full potential for Mindanao for the sake of the whole country, there will come a time when CDO can actually compete with Cebu.

Although naa nakoy balay diha sa Davao karon for the reason na akong gagmayng anak diha nako gipa eskwela because I felt it safer than having them in CDO! Bisan unsa pa pandaut ninyo sa davao regarding bombings, dili ikalimod nga mas safety sa Davao than CDO which is more prone to petty crimes and all other high crimes like bombings and kidnappings also, what is, mas duol baya mo sa Lanao.

I don't care if proud ang taga davao sa ilang lugar which I would be too if I were one and yes it is true some davao peeps here medyo nasobrahan kay tawag nila best city in the philippines sila but IMHO, yes it indeed best for me, wala nakoy labot sa uban kung unsa inyong best.

What i'm driving at to you and your fellows out there na gusto lang yata ug samok sa forum, although makalingaw gihapon, ayaw nalang gud mo sige ug pang good time ug uban nga kesyo mas nindut inyo kaysa Davao, how about you avoid naming a place or even referring to a certain place, veiled or unveiled, para dili mo matuligsa ug maayo and i'm speaking this only as an outsider kay di pa nako masulti sa akong kaugalingon taga Davao ko kay bag-o ra akong pamilya diha and wala pud ko pirme diha.

At least ang mga kriminal ug utok kriminal mag duhaduha ug himo ug dautan mao nga kung dili ka utok kriminal dili ka angay mahadlok sa davao. yup, ang artist mismo but he's based in Davao City and wala'y tao sa sulod that time but his whole place is like a park with sculptures everywhere and anybody can enter the compound (after trekking the pine tree filled road). Lingaw kay interactive iyang balay pwede ka mosaka sa rooftop then if you want naa'y slide panaog.

naa'y skylight sa atop and people could silip the bedrooms, main activity area and even the bathroom (!)

guys, im not here to argue with you or to prove to you that CDO is the best, i am here to clear out what other people's comments about CDO, i know you know what i mean.
