    Default Boxing ta!

May pa boxing kay sa basketball...alot of good athlete or with a potential athelete form a sports like boxing, track and field, badminto, shooting turn to basketball unsuccessfull. Why? because basketball if for Hieght people... ang basketball sa Pinas wla gyud ayo, for me may pa e abolish naka kay thats the reason why ang PINAS for many olympic games until now wla pa gyud tay gold, tungod kay mas unahon tagaan og pagtagad ang basketball nga wala man gyud tay chance. mubo ta, no originality naay tag-as nato abnormal sad manglihok..

if that enthusiast in basketball e change nato into boxing and etc nga sport espiecially sports never requires height? MAKA OLYMPIC GOLD na unta ta and that is what we wissh for....look of anybasketball player karn from PBA nga mas sikat pa kay ni PACMAN? DEFINETLY WALA NEVER....kay ang basketball for the people nga ambisyoso..daghan kaayo out of school youth karn because of basketball in the end, STANDBY ra diay...

FOR ME ABOLISHED BASKETBALL IN THE PHILIPPINES...MABUHAY PACMAN
mao BOXING nata? I hope na enligthen mo dha dili man gani ta kadaog sa China or bronze sa Asian games magpdayon pa ghapon ta, ok anyway padayon tang BOGO ani, oi..sorry KAMO ra.....

I agree with you that HEIGHT is important and necessary in basketball, and a good reason why we don't excel in international competitions unlike other countries. But taking away basketball from the heart of Filipinos will never happen, ever. It's true that through boxing Filipino people and our nation was recognized globally. But it's in basketball that we find enjoyment, pleasure, passion and excitement where all people from all ages can play, young kids and old people alike.
We just have to be optimistic regarding our basketball program coz every basketball crazy pinoys feel that we are on our way there, just taking those small baby steps towards achieving that illusive success. Besides, future generations of Filipino players(yeah ok Fil-Ams) are getting a lot bigger and taller. So we all have the reasons to expect something big and rewarding in maybe 10+ years from now.

Oh well, another one jumping into the boxing and Manny Pacquiao bandwagon.

Take note that the Philippines is a basketball country for years. Basketball runs in most of Filipinos veins and mind you, more people are into basketball than into boxing. We can't just take away the sport that most Filipino love because of the very fact that we're no longer winning medals in major international events. Philippines has a lot of skilled and above average basketball players that can play at an international level. True enough that height is a major factor in basketball but basketball is not all about height solely. RP have some of the better guards in Asia and would we just put their talents away to waste just because of the very reason that we lack height? Since the loss to the FIBA Olympics qualifiers a lot of Fil-Am names have surfaced and it's a very good investment for the future of Philippines basketball. If only we could have serious basketball programs dedicated for our national basketball team, RP can reclaim the basketball glory that was once ours.

Our boxers undergo different and a more serious training than our national basketball team. We don't have a basketball coach of Freddie Roach's caliber.

Just like basketball, boxing glory might not last that long either. For sure other countries will produce very good fighters of their own. And what would we do when that time arrives? Abolish na pud anto ang boxing kay lupig na ta?

bitaw bro agree ko ani nga instead of giving more funds and attention ang basket maau pa switch ta sa soccer or any sports nga dili kaau required ug height.

palaban na gud ta ug mga fil-am ngek intawon mura mag nangayo nata ug genetic nga tabang sa obang race hehehe.

sus intawn murag dako dako na cguro ang nagasto sa philippine sport commission ani nila, correct me if im wrong ha.
