OPTIONAL STANDARD DEDUCTION (OSD)

Implementing Regulations on OSD:

BIR issued RR 16-2008 to implement the provisions of RA 9504 pertaining to OSD. This is allowed to individual taxpayers a maximum of 40% deductions from gross sales/receipts.

BIR extends deadline for submission of BIR Form No. 1604-CF.

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) thru Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 4-2009 extended the deadline for the filing of the Annual Information Return of Income Taxes Withheld on Compensation and Final Withholding Taxes (BIR Form No.1604-CF) together with its attachment, the Alphabetical List (Alphalists) of Employees, to February 27, 2009.

Last day for renewal of business permit was last January 31, 2009. For those who have not yet renew their business permit, you may renew anytime but already subject to penalty for failure to renew on time.
