When I left the US about 4 months ago , the gas I use which is 92 octane would cost almost $ 5 a gallon . Try to compute that and labaw ang US ug 10 PHp sa gas diri sa Philippines . Its about cost of living , ibutang ta lang $1 = 44PHp , whats in it for you ? For me its a candy bar in the US and a full meal in the Philippines .
We are talking about regular gas.... which people use everyday....
and the price has been posted as of 11/20/07.... Its NOT 4 months ago PRICE.... please check the link again....
when you say you have to consider cost of living.....
It is right that the cost of gasoline in the US SHOULD BE HIGHER..... but why is it HIGHER here.... BASED on the PRICE posted 11/20/07
http://tonto.eia.doe.gov/dnav/pet/pet_pri_spt_s1_d.htm This is US Government DATA
OPEC has nothing to do with it... ITS THE STRONG PESO.... And its not bringing the price down AS IT SHOULD.
Right now regular gasoline is cheaper in New York and Singapore comapred to Cebu City.
