On the other hand, the Regional Development Council Region 7 (Central Visayas) has endorsed the bridge project for a Korean ODA grant of US$3 million for its feasibility study. He said the project can be implemented under the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) Law – and is now under the process of securing the NEDA ICC-TB approval.

The bridge, he explained, can carry the excess water from the Inabanga River to Cebu which direly needs it, by pipe alongside the facility in exchange for Cebu’s fiber optics for telecommunication and expexted excess power by 2015.

The faster flow of goods and passengers can accelerate the economic development of both provinces, he added.

nice project, but i really don't think this should be a priority for a third world country. duna tay budget deficit nga P300 billion, unya mugasto pa gyud ta ug P20 billion para ani nga bridge?

better spend scarce government funds on building more schools and roads, or invest it in agriculture

this is a great news....id really love going to bohol...and with this bridge it would become much more easier...

Nindot jud unta kung maconnect sa atong government ang mga neighboring islands... I know maaffected ang boat industry pero I think it will help make people closer and thus improving trade and industry like farming... It would also spread the development to neighboring places...
