Why do australians love to pronounce the letter O as "er".

Say for instance,
Love - "Lurve"
Vote - "Vert"

I wanna knewr.

its simple aussies like other westerners they have different accent compared to the sepos.its like mixed of british-american accent.hows that?

actually your wrong, if you pay attention to their accent they cant pronounce "R" OR "ER". i think you are referring to the american because theyre the ones who pronounce every word clearly.

eg comfortable,its pronounce as "COMFTABLE". later as "leytah", its very easy to spot which one is american,canadian,pommies and aussies if theyre in the crowd
