guys..ayaw gyud tawn mo kasayup download ug illegal stuffs diri..or even torrent for that matter....they can track you easily..you could be jailed or fined or both for that.

lol, true.. they can track you if they want to. but do you think they are monitoring every customer's bandwidth usage? do they have mrtg for every customer for them to notice any spike in bandwidth? or snmp on their boxes for them to notice what goes in/out for certain port? i don't think so and i don't think they will do that because there are sooo many customers.

our company also provides internet service (upstream side). we are doing such thing - monitoring of bandwidth, investigating sudden spike of traffic on certain service/port, port/content filtering and etc. based from experience, i'd say that ISPs here can only track you if they will keep an eye on you.. and again, that's very unlikely due to the number of subscribers here. they may notice traffic on torrents (if they are not blocking the ports, like pacnet) from their NOC, but it's not that easy for them to track you.

They monitor access to certain sites ... that they can easily do. Take for example a famous site that offers anime torrents, they track outbound traffic from Singapore coming into these sites. A number of people have been on the monitor list before they were tracked down and prosecuted. In Singapore there were already a number of convictions.... So to those who are still planning on downloading illegal stuff. BEWARE!!!

Kung duna lang mo reklamo mao na dunay possibility nga i-track ka nila sa downloading. Pero kung personal use lang gyud, wala na problema. Ako sige man gihapon ko ug download bisan paggawas ato ilang balaod. Ayaw lang sad palabi.

well most of those download stuff are from distributed p2p, it's not that easy at all to track that. but i'd say it too, beware! sikat kaayo ka diri kng ma sakpan ka, kay bisan gamay na balita diri i.headline sa mga newspaper - cguro tungod kay less ayo ang crime og mga gubot2x.. wa kaayo sila'y ma headline sa news.

back to the topic. musta trabaho ninyo? hehe.. ngita pud diay ko room, balhin napud.. post lng kng naa vacant.
