Are you speaking in the context of this discussion or discussions in general? Because my interpretation with this is in any thread here goes on as usual until one of you guys steps in and then says something.

When that happens, that automatically means the mod who just posted on a thread is automatically right? Is that what you're trying to imply here?

So if the discussion is about, say, the Norway shooting and members are condemning it, then a mod says he agrees that the shooter's views is just (no judgments here) then that would mean, in your explanation, that this mod's opinion takes precedence over the others? So we should just all agree that his opinion is the only one that matters?

So we're just basically here to make your mods feel good about themselves? Does that make sense?

I think I made it pretty clear that I was referring to mod bashing / public ranting / etc... please re-read my post.

^^ well, i don't bash mods but we DO get infractions from mundane arguments just out of persistence (no insults whatsoever)

Then read rule #1. It provides for an avenue where you can forward your concerns. Just be very sure that you are on the right footing and be polite. It's a really simple process.
