Good afternoon Husky Masters.
I would like to ask for some of your advice and tips.
I have recently obtained a female Siberian Husky who is turning 3 this July. I know for a fact that Huskies don't eat as much as other medium-sized dogs and that being overweight would cause some health problems in the long run. I have also beeen walking with my Husky everyday, to stimulate her senses and to exercise.
I'm just a little worried that she is not eating as much as she's suppose to, since touching her back lets you feel her spine. I feed her with cooked meats and sometimes chicken necks and occasionally dog food. But I think she is really not eating as much as needed.
I was given a few advice like, I should stick with the dog food diet, stick with BARF and put little peices of food at a time. I'm still puzzled as to what really works best for my Husky in terms of feeding her. I also give her Pet Tabs everyday and I use to give her Omega Magic and I just stopped when she had diarhea, but she's doin fine already after I took her to the vet. Right now she's on a major Shedding and her under coat is really falling out and I am gradulally brushing it off from her.
My questions right now are:
1) What has worked well with your Husky in terms of feeding?
2) What do you guys feed your Husky?
3) Based on what's mentioned above, what else do I need to do?
4) Can you guys give me some tips that promotes my Husky's well being?
-- again my Husky is turning 3 this July so she's not a Puppy anymore.
Thanks
.
