Condom programs DO NOT stop AIDS/HIV. They only make matters worse by encouraging promiscuity and engendering a FALSE sense of security. Condom programs have totally FAILED in other countries. But non-condom, ABSTINENCE-based programs, like in Uganda.

Let My People Go, AIDS Profiteers
Sam L. Ruteikara - Let My People Go, AIDS Profiteers - washingtonpost.com

In the late 1980s, before international experts arrived to tell us we had it all "wrong," we in Uganda devised a practical campaign to prevent the spread of HIV. We recognized that population-wide AIDS epidemics in Africa were driven by people having *** with more than one regular partner. Therefore, we urged people to be faithful. Our campaign was called ABC (Abstain, or Be Faithful, or use Condoms), but our main message was: Stick to one partner. We promoted condoms only as a last resort.

Because we knew what to do in our country, we succeeded. The proportion of Ugandans infected with HIV plunged from 21 percent in 1991 to 6 percent in 2002. But international AIDS experts who came to Uganda said we were wrong to try to limit people's sexual freedom. Worse, they had the financial power to force their casual-*** agendas upon us.

And now some *****s in the Philippines want to FORCE people to distribute condoms and abortifacients through HB 5043? Some human rights! Some choice! What idiocy!

Dump the bill along with the stupid congressmen who authored it and their brain-dead supporters!

The common good is what is morally good. What is morally good? Morally good is what nourishes the spirit and the soul. It is innate and instinct in all of us.

    Abortion is not instinct!

i think u need to read it again bro and try to understand it once more, if not a many times. (try to check the thread "reproductive health ek ek" ky naa dd2 ang complete version of the bill, starring kaau's mannyamadong dd2. this bill is to educate couples be it adults, or teenagers. and let them encourage to have a plan and come up with a choice about their sexual attitudes. abortion intawn dodong is not an instinct. il tell u it's nowhere to be found in the bill. but *** is. it's a human nature, if not it's a nature of all living species to fornicate. to gratify. we also need to protect the life of the mother who is going to carry the baby for 9 months in a healthy manner. if the mother is not ready to have her own baby, then there's a practical solution for this. the gov't will be promoting (and expanding) a healthy way to protect a mother's life from pregnancy through safe, reliable and effective contraceptions. laliman bya kag mabuntis pirmi taga ana. these contraceptions already do their job before fertilization takes place. it just alters the female reproductive cycle, in the end, way life nahimo. in simple terms, THERE IS NO ABORTION, per se. ek ek! it sure is it can NOT protect the life inside the womb coz, in the first place, there's NO life formed in the womb. all this bill would do is to educate, educate and educate whether in the schools (for teenagers) and health centers (for adults). and let our people learn, learn, and learn.

you just repeated what I said...re abortion is not instinct..you agree, I agree...no argument

but regarding the bill...I see that it is one way to circumvent the value of life....

The bill should be reviewed and cut short.

There are a lot of countries who need more people...they are importing people, why not import
our people....they would in turn support our country.....

Tanawa sa China.....the Chinese are everywhere!...they help their country, they are enforcing the
1 child policy, but they have exceptions....lets spread first...multiply, expand and then when we are
a force in the world, usa pa ta mag-think again what to do....as long as we are responsible ,and know
how to manage our resources...we still hv milleniums to go.

You apparently have the same views as the church. A lot of people, including me, don't. And if you really want to discuss which sections need to be cut and which sections are meant to "circumvent" the value of life, then maybe need to transfer to the other thread as the thread title here does not match that discussion.

Yes, I have read the bill, and I agree with most parts of it. I did not read anything that circumvents the value of life there, and there is no mention of abortion anywhere because this is NOT about abortion but birth control.

If you want us to be like China, you should consider that:
    1. In China, birth control is a non-issue and is encouraged.
    2. Prior to their one-child policy, there was the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution. There was widespread famine then. That's why they have to limit population growth.
    3. We are already exporting so many people. That has happened already. No country got rich that way. Why do you want the Philippines to be the cheap source of labor rather than the one importing human resources? And with the global financial crisis, some countries already started sending people back!
    4. China has huge land area. That is why it can support more than 1 billion people. There is no way the Philippines can support 1 billion people with this land area! FYI, the Philippine population has multiplied 11 times in a span of a century. China has not increased by that much in the same time frame.
