Admittedly, the Church opposes the use of modern family planning methods due to its main doctrine. Sadly, the doctrine affects the over population of this country. As such, even if the government wanted to implement programs to overcome over population, the Church opposes.
I think the followers of the Church will have a dilemma on whether or not they will be following the teachings of the church or avail the program of the government.

yes...its true they promote anti contraceptives...
no person has 100% control of his life...
the church (which has been dealing and UNDERSTANDING the people) may have had the wrong opinion...
if the church allowed (didnt dis promote) contraceptives i believe overpopulation would not be so great...yes it would be a great deal in this country who is 90++% catholic and 2/3 in poverty and a culture which has the highest esteem for religion...
contraceptives are more practical...IMO

In China, some women are stiching their reproductive system or put locks so that they dont get pregnant. I love population explosion and the idea of having *** everyday. Nobody told me that it is bad. Phillippine population is increasing 3.5 percent/year and now reaches 88.1 million an average 1.6 million Filipinos born a year. More than 86 percent of the population is Roman Catholic, 6 percent belong to various nationalized Christian cults, and another 2 percent belong to well over 100 Protestant denominations. So, as part of 86% Christian, what do you think? Anyway, there are millions of filipinos migrate every year.. so we dont have to worry.

There is no such thing as OVERPOPULATION for me . Things like these comesup because its a scapegoat for more :
- UNEMPLOYMENT
- POOR and MALNOURISHED
- UNEDUCATED
- POVERTY PERCENTAGE
