    1) What Aussie slang have you adopted for your everyday conversation?
    2) Have you tried the oysters Kilpatrick?
    3) How would you compare Australian mangoes (which should be in season right now) to Cebu mangoes?
    4) What's your idea of a great Sydney weekend?
    5) What made you decide to migrate to Australia?

    1. theres many to list eg, "watch out for the noahs", "chuck a sickie", "went ass over tit", f*ckin pissin down here", "fair dinkum", chuck another prawn on the barbie, hows it going knackers and so on

    2. yeah love it! either kilpatrick or mornay. i even know how to make them now but the best oyster kilpatrick or mornay can be found at sydney's fish market.

    3. nothing beats cebu mangoes! though theres nothing wrong with the aussie mangoes (theyre sweet and theyre huge) but my taste buds prefer the cebu mangoes even my husband reckons cebu mangoes are ten times better.

    4. picnic at the beach! waterskiing, fishing and jetboating . i love the beach and im a pro fisherman

    5. change of environment. i found better opportunities and benefits here.

    hello pod sir

    1. i am not hopeless romantic but yet i believe in love but promises? not really. i think promises are just only made to be broken. i dont like promises. i even lived my life with no expectations that way, the less expectations you have, the less disappointment you get

    2. i am not very fussy when it comes to my date just as long as we can get along well, can start a good conversation that wont make me bored, honestly i dont set any standards for my date, just as long as HIS BEING REAL THEN THATS ALL THAT MATTERS!

    3. just one chance to talk and hold my dad again.

    no worries mate

ayeee! ndaog jud diay kas HOTSEAT. weeee!!!

well, since you've been one of my faves here sa istorya because of that thread we had with yanong, here are my questions. i hope they haven't asked you this...

1.) on the thread we've had a bloody debate on (i love my husband like a wife should and my lover like a lover would), if you're the wife and in your happy disposition and predicament, who would you choose? the husband or the lover?

2.) i know you hate Florida, but is there one single POV of hers that you'd agree on? what would that be and why?

    3.) how's the weather there?

4.) can you post a pic of your family here or if not, can you describe your hubby and your kid?

5.) you've mentioned before that you run your own company, can you disclose an estimated salary of your employees? (basi mainteresan ni florida mangaapply kai nawong tog kwarta.)

2.) Not being a racist, but just for a topic... Between Australian & Phil. Culture/Values, what culture/values you want your baby to learn someday and what do you want him to not follow from both?

3.) What is this something that you want from Australian culture/values that you like Filipinos to follow? and Vice versa...

the remaining 2 questions will just be a follow up question later... or not, if satisfied..

    thanks for answering..

    1. i will let him decide what he wants to do for himself in the future all i can do is just to support him but if he will ask for my opinion,id like him to be a footballer and either a businessman or a doctor . businessman because i dont want our hardwork to go to waste, and a doctor so i can have someone to look after me for free when i get old!

    2. definately he will follow the filo culture and values . i was raised by a disciplinarian parents who taught me always to have high respect to the elders, "delikadeza" and "debts of gratitude", my son should learn to prioritize family more than anything. dining etiquette and table manners are a must!" dont butt in a conversation if your not being asked"-i find this rude. and " chew your food with your mouth shut"-some people chew their food as if its a chewing gum and its disgusting.

    3. uhmmm, MYOB- we all know that filos have this mentality that they like to mind other people's business (chismoso/chismosa) or stickybeaks. i really hate this attitude and NEVER TO KEEP UP WITH THE JONESES (some filos like to compete with other people's success even if they have to spend so far beyond their means. PASIKAT or USO, alot of people have gone broke due to this mentality.

na hotseater gyod maam . your one of the best debaters i found in istorya.net too. i really have learnt alot from that thread.

    ONT:

    1. thats a tough decision to make but i have to make sure to myself first if which one of them weighs more. in that thread, the ts loved her lover more than she has ever loved her husband and she stayed in their marriage maybe bec. of the kids, if id be in same situation i will file a divorce and go with my lover ONLY IF THERE NO CHANCE FOR OUR MARRIAGE TO BE RECOVERED.
i dont think its being selfish, i think each one of us is entitled to be happy and we should go for what makes us happy because whats the point of living if your just gonna be miserable?it doesnt make sense, your better off dead because theres no point, life is too short to deal with pointless dramas everyday.

    2. actually i dont hate her. i dont think there's any. no offense but i think his just way too arrogant and if i will have to take every word he says, da*m i should start booking a reservation for a room to a psychiatric ward .

    3. its pissin down and its freezing! miserable day

    4. it really depends, some workers get paid around $500 a day or more depending on what they do. most of them work overtime.so i guess you can do the math but thats before tax!, min.wage for each is around $25 and most of them work during night time and during weekends so thats considered overtime. so its doubled.

My question here: What pre-conceptions about Aussies/Australia did you have before coming to Sydney that turned out to be misconceptions? Or were there any (for my part, I thought Aussies were laid back and not hardworking...I found the evidence to the contrary)?

Do you put any toppings (chopped bacon, etc) on your kilpatrick?

I think, to be fair, you should do a blind test so you don't pre-judge the outcome or factor in prejudices. Like any Cebuano who swears by our "mango pride," I sometimes get it wrong myself. Try it. But you should use ripe Australian mangoes that are in season, just to make sure you're comparing like with like.

Anyway, my question here would be: Where do you prefer to shop for your groceries: Coles or Woolworths? Why? And what typical Pinoy product/ingredients (Pinakurat, etc) do you buy from Pinoy stores in Sydney (I think there's one in Chatswood)?

Just don't forget to splash heaps of sunscreen and wear very dark shades. UV radiation there is a health risk, especially in the scorching summer.

Here's my last questions...two business-type questions: IF there were products/services found in Australia that you'd wish to sell to Cebu, what would these be? IF there was a franchise you'd like to bring over to Cebu, what would it be?

    Thanks and take care!

    1. I've heard that aussies are racist and rude and many have complained esp the call center agents that their accent is the worst amongst westerners but i really think aussie accent is the coolest but since we moved here i have never tried being discriminated or maltreated because im asian as a matter of fact i get a discount to drive in theaters because they think im only 14! and i always get away with not bringing my i.d going in the pubs,if it was in the philippines theyre very strict with their no id no entry policy but i think aussies are nice . maybe they are some racist ones but those are probably the ones that comes from the bushes. .

    2. i think the original kilpatrick got bacon and worcestershire sauce.i love it that way

    3. wollies i think they've got more stocks than coles. and talking about filo shops around sydney,i love to stock some lucky me noodles in my pantry, pinakurat, silver swan soy sauce and viniger, maggi seasoning, cebu dried mangoes, senorita sardines, corned beef and beef loaf , i dont go to chatswood, its way too far plus i hate getting stuck in the traffic, either rooty hill or parramatta.

    4. aussie steak and the lamb meat . their my favourites! franchise? BUNNINGS! How i wish they have bunnings in cebu, they've got everything! from homewares to furnitures to every building materials!

-fair dinkum is as good as saying "get real or are you for real?thats when someone tells you somethign thats hard to believe "

you got that right, one of my girlfriend will just say " she's my daughter she's only 16 " there and then im allowed to go in with no questions asked but whoever had my name listed at the front desk will have to take responsibility for my actions. he/she will be held to pay for the damages if i break something or cause troubles fair enough

    1. do you think you're beautiful? (physically)..I hope ill get a more straightforward answer...not the "I dnt think Im beautiful as beauty is more on the inside...." kind.

    2. do you think that man and women are equal when it comes to "***"? (I hope this is not classified as offensive, I just want to know your viewpoint)

    3. how will you describe the sky to a blind man who have been blind since birth?

    4. Who are better people? Aussies? or Filipinos?

    5. Would you rather live forever? or die now?
