every time i open this thread all i can see is insubordination

i hope this evaluation goes with questionnaires too or rating system
for us to fill in so that those who have complaints will just place it in a comment box
knowing that the moderators have no pay and this site as free
i guess we should just be thankful that we are a part and that we can share our opinions

that sounds good if we both users and mods/admin are fair and square here in terms of policy

we hope that we can always avail that "rescinded infraction" if mods/admin can clearly evaluate the situation not judging us automatically base of mods/admin emotion

I think if we have something wrong in our post or threads we can't avoid infrations Coz they have the rules they have reasons for the istoryans got infraction walay dugay2 ba if sayop sayop jud..dili na mahibulong kung naa tay infraction..

yes I agree with u but what im trying to say is not judging through the emotion but base on the policy.

When that happens, that automatically means the mod who just posted on a thread is automatically right? Is that what you're trying to imply here?

So if the discussion is about, say, the Norway shooting and members are condemning it, then a mod says he agrees that the shooter's views is just (no judgments here) then that would mean, in your explanation, that this mod's opinion takes precedence over the others? So we should just all agree that his opinion is the only one that matters?

So we're just basically here to make your mods feel good about themselves? Does that make sense?

I'm not siding with anybody and I find this thread really interesting, pero what the hell, bro? You have an opportunity to make a post that would help clear up issues and this is what you come up?

I think that when a moderator contributes to a discussion he is not exercising his mod powers in that instant. Although they are mods, let us not forget that they are also humans and have their own opinions and views for a certain issue.

I think you can argue with a mod as long as you carry your rebuttal in a clear and concise manner. The problem with people here is that a little resistance on their views or kwestiyonon lang gani gamay ilang pagtoo/opinyon, and they go into a state I would call hypersensitive-defensive mode. Mo-resort dayon to name-calling, throwing insults, and naguba na ang discussion kay siyempre ang gi-atake modepensa sad baya.

Mods have a duty to maintain the peace in these threads, so kung di ka kebaw mo-lalis in a civil manner then might as well shut you up. Pasalamat nalang gani ta they are not doing IP bans adtong mga badlongon jud (I am only assuming this since I can see na once ma-ban ang badlungon, makabalik ra man gihapon siya in a brand new account).

As to us normal iStorya.net users, I think we can support our points/stands/reasoning during arguments/discussion with data simply because we are in the internet and can Google information fairly quickly. If the argument does not require data because it's a personal belief then diha ta na punto dili magdaug. In that case I guess we will have to agree to disagree. The problem arises when you think you are superior to anybody else.

Pero kung sa normal lalis lang, just state your reasons in an orderly fashion and wait for the response -- be the person you are arguing to is a mod or not. If you think your stand is solid then well and good. But if the other side's reasons are superior to yours and he backed his words with irrefutable sources, then why not accept it?

Accepting you are wrong in a discussion does not make you a lesser man. It's nothing to be ashamed or be angry about.
