Haay, istoryang wala'y kahumanan man ni oi. Simple ra kaayo ni, if you're not happy abroad, then don't live abroad. If you're not happy living in Pinas, don't live in Pinas. We all die too soon, let's try to maximize our chances for happiness while we can. That's why we do what we do, every single one of us. We do the things we do because we seek happiness.

Yes, they will admit you, but it becomes your debt if you can't pay them right there. Utang gihapon. Nothing comes for free. It might be respect that illegal aliens cannot be asked about their status in the country, but a lot of people around the US do not respect them.

Simple ra gyud nga analogy @Jenesse, I agree with Chad_Tukes that seeing US as paradise is relative. But we have to realize that coming to this country with illegal status is not an easy predicament, there is a price to pay. I can understand the author's point that living in a foreign land is not paradise. But doesn't mean an extraordinary filipino cannot survive and excel above those predicaments. But generally speaking, it sure is not paradise for the ordinary migrant. Daghan kaayo mi mahatag nimo nga mga observations, if you are interested to come to the US, I think you have to hold down your high expectations kay daghan mi nahibaw.an nga mga nangari nga tourists then nag overstay and ga work, hilak hilak pud uy. It is hard. Labi na nang mga bugnaw kaayo nga mga states, wa gud na sila'y mga awto kay approvan ba diay ug car dealership ang illegal? Nope, so you can't have a car. So magsakay nalang ug bus and train. Anywhere you go. Pwede magtaxi if mag grocery pero kasagaran nila magsakay ug bus, mag-atang ug bus, super tugnaw, as in below freezing. Mao ni mga cases nga makaana ta dili sayon. But it is a price to pay for money right? Daku man kaha ug sweldo diri aw hala, agwanta.

Misconception man gud na sa ordinaryo nga pinoy gud nga hayahay ang life sa America. Datu kaayo tan.awon sa pictures right? Laag diri laag didto? Pero for all we know gapatay na sila ug trabaho. Abang ug kwarto sa basement. Pwede ka mag google kung pila ang average monthly income diri necessary para di ka mabelong as poor. $2,000/month is definitely poor, sakto pud tong usa ka istoryan nga niingon datu imong padad-an sa pinas pero ikaw mismo, based on US standards, pobre ka.

I feel bad when you misunderstood the concept of Insurance Coverage, all I am saying is to disprove the claim that ONLY the legal immigrants who happens to have a job that provides Insurance can benefit the health care system of America....I said, not true, how are going to explain the situation of Manny Pacquiao, or Tommy Osmenia.....They pay CASH....therefore there is this information that is missing regarding insurance coverage....HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES, EVEN YOU PAY CASH, YOU DONT GET THE SAME TREATMENT from that of a poltician or a celebrity...Why? Descrimination perhaps? Is that Paradise?

Survey says in American journal of Medicine that ONLY 25% OF A PAYING INSURED ADULT pays a visit to the Doctors office yearly....Therefore, ONLY when they get very sick that they will go directly to the Hospital, thus an Insured Individual and a Non Insured One arrives at the same time in a Hospital they both get the same equal treatment PLUS, once the Non Insured One has signs and symptoms of MYOCARDIAC INFARCTION he gets inside the ER ahead regardless of his status of Insurance....Is this PARADISE or what...Try doing that in the Philippines....and oh....Medical Bills are not subject for imprisonment if not get paid...Together with that of Student Loan....You should know this I assume...

Here, we owe or we have so much debt from our neighbors and friends OUT OF SURVIVAL....How do you Explain those Car dealers and I believe early 2000's where an employed individual gets approved to get a housing loan without a downpayment?....This never happened in the Philippines....Paradise?

There's got to be a reason why a Fullpledge Doctor takes up Nursing, or an Engineer "jumpship", or a Teacher has to learn signs language atop of their Ph D status, or a regular Juan who will marry an Ugly with a "blue passport" Woman.......

Lastly, $ 2000 a month is more than a minimum wage in any state....how will you explain this as poor....whereas the median income all over America is $ 45000/year (newly hired nurse) and the lowest income is $ 17,000/year...these are the peolpe who have cars, rented a living space, and eats 3 meals a day with free education until college....How did you figure this out?

$ 2K per month in the US poor. A car is a necessity and not a luxury. Just like in Pinas , everybody have tsinelas. I worked in Silicon valley before and decided to come back home. In the end , it's about what makes you happy.

    waaa
atleast diri oi kung S$ 2k imo slwedo kay ok ra
dili ka dato dili pud ka probre

I believe there is "poor"...and there are "BUM"...and there is homeless..... in this order....

You've decided to come back home from Silicon Valley?.....if this happen 10 years ago I would be impress....but if this just happen within 4 years...dont worry you are not alone....its been conservatively estimated 5.5M workers who received pink slips (no offense) within last year in America ( not unless you have other reason ).....500,000 more just this month....

hehehe... FYI, 2k/month in the US is considered poor based on family income. i'm surprised you didn't know that.

it's more than the minimum wage but it's still considered poor. also, poor in America entails having cars, renting a living space, and eats 3 meals a day. if you view poor in America as living in a squatter area, then that's not the case.

@usahay is right. car in America is not considered luxury, but a necessity. no matter how poor you are in America, you can still get a car because car dealers KNOW that having a car is a necessity. IT'S LIKE FOOD. you can't get around without a car if you live in a CAR STATE. if you can't get around, then that means you can't get a job.
