and thats exactly what i replied to the one asking...its no longer available on retail...discontinued na...
and chestergo is not an android developer so my advising him to get the desire instead is precisely accurate
and sense UI gives end user better experience out of the box which should matter more plus those added advantage that i already mentioned.
oh and the desire has HD video recording...
so for the user end consumer considering n1, the HTC desire is the way to go...and as mentioned, in general, they are virtually identical...with local support and warranty pa gyud karon diri sa gizmo.
btw, most argument i get is that the n1 has voice to text and desire doesnt have.
but thats not entirely true. VTT is part of 2.2. installing handcent (which is a better sms program anyways) plus choice dialer+ give me all the VTT i need including google voice search etc. voice to text input to reply text and create msg create calendar reminders etc.

after a long time, i can finally join this thread..just got a samsung galaxy spica last night,already installed with 2.1..im loving every part of it,and my brother is in envy coz he has an iphone 3GS that costs much more but works more or less the same..

setting>applications>manage applications. @ downloaded tab select app to move and choose move to SD Card or try the apps suggested by c_cebrecus.
