Judging and Laughing? I hope you can say the same exact line to your fellow medical practitioners, right in their faces, all over the globe who are currently being asked, right at this very moment, by their subordinates, patients and acquaintances if that video is the norm in our country. one explanation is ok. two is manageable. but what if you are asked the same question EVERY SINGLE DAY by different people for the next 30 days? how will that make you feel? what then would be your reaction?
in normal circumstances, yes we would all be guilty. but this issue is far from normal. no matter how we spin it that it's just basically a dozen people involved, sad to say, that is not the case. think about the repercussions of their act. it would be safe to say that EVERY SINGLE FILIPINO MEDICAL PRACTITIONER (doctors, nurses, PT's, OT's etc etc) all over the world will be asked his/her opinion about this issue at least once in the next 5 years. remember, the Nursing Board exam cheating scandal hasn't subsided yet though it's been 2 years since it happened. some nurses are still being asked their side, their opinion, their assessment by their co-workers up to this day regarding that 'cheating" scandal. NOW THIS...
as a worker, nobody likes to be asked about lapses done in line with your profession in your workplace specially about a video that blatantly shows "professionals" from your own country doing a procedure "a la VSMMC surgery spectacle" with almost everybody snickering and laughing in the entire operation.
how would that make you feel?
Shut Up! Let your GAME do the talking!
nalooy gyud tawn ko sa pasyente. ka grabe naman sad tawn woi. the decency na lang unta to keep it hush2x, asta kana, wala na lang gyud. patch adams said it all to well: doctors should promote the quality of life. that was just uncalled for.
it's a matter of time now, this will make another tv headline in major tv networks in the US.Originally Posted by jasonrey

Let's not be shallow and narrow-minded shall we? With what you just said, you are now in league with Teri Hatcher and the writers of the DH show. So I seriously hope that for the rest of your life you won't need the help of a medical professional, because you'd be spending thousands of pesos so you could go abroad to seek consult. Think about what you just said. There are more than a thousand medical graduates every year and you think ALL of them are unprofessional, unethical just because they come from "some medical school in the Philippines"?. Gosh, I might go as far as to call you racist.Originally Posted by Illuminati_Noir
Let's keep an open mind here. Shall we? Yet no amount of excuses or explanation by those involved will fix this. We all know that.
