This was a poem which i wrote in my highschool which i dedicate to my 1st crush!

From the first time i saw you
I've got a crush on you.
Your not handsome
but my heart loves you.

When the night comes
I can't sleep
coz I.m always
thinking of you.

Waiting for some time
you will say to me the words
"I love you"
And i'll answer you my sweetiest word
"I love you too"

hmmm just wondering. are there any places in Cebu where you can go to relax and just listen to some poetry reading at least once a week or even once a month (if it's not that common)?

THE SURREALIST

I watched as you sleep
Watch you as you breathe
Curse the sunlight
Now the rendezvous will end
But can we meet again?

The kiss of goodbye wasn't even sweet
To the north I left you
While i traveled down south
Asking these voices what will become of me

But alas! I long for what could never be you and me
And a hint from you
We fashioned a place that we call surreal

I was sitting at my desk
Pondering what to say
"Lord, please give me inspiration!"
Earnestly I prayed

With a pad in the left hand
And a pen in the right
I was a man on a mission
Needing a poem for tonight

They say roses a red
And violets they are blue
No--that's a pansy beginning
And that will never do

The sun shining bright in the day
The moon glowing in the night
No--that won't work either
It just doesn't sound right

You can see my dilemma
A poem to construct
Feeling broken and defeated
I wanted to give up

Then it came to me
In a vision like a dream
A picture of the woman
God has prepared specially for me

I chuckled to myself
How could I've not seen
With five simple words
This poem is complete
