regarding "praying to mother mary", it really depends on how we understand this
if you mean praying to mary, like mary our savior, thorugh you we have salvation ect...
or the like, dili jud na insakto oi and
WALA and NEVER jud na namu gibuhat sa RCC

but if it is like this:mother mary help us to be more closer to God..i think there's nothing wrong with it
and i believe that is what the Catholic church's stand regarding venaration of saints including mary the mother of Jesus.

so to clear things out, we ask mother mary to pray and intercede for us
    and not worship her.
Mao jd bro, mao nay kasagaran pambitik sa non-catholic, ngano daw mosimba ta ni Mother Mary, ug naa daw mga verses sa Bible nga wla tawga ni Jesus as Mother si Mary. So mao naka ingon cla nga dli angay simbahon si Mother Mary which is dli sd mao ang ilang pag interpret...

ang pagpanguros is conceived because of the idea of trinity bro,. so the idea came first before the gesture

Naa sa link nako gi post about SIGN of the CROSS ang history didto and how and why it came to be.

    @ SLABDANS ....

This is also an age old question towards RCC why we practice REPITITIVE PRAYERS.

First , we have to acknowledge that its all about the TRANSLATION .

That the verse in question reads, in the King James version, "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking." The operative Greek word here for "vain repetitions" is battalogeo, or babbling. That is, the heathens had a magical perception of prayer and thought the more they babbled to their gods, the more that that god would respond.

Even angels sing in a REPITITVE manner , even PSALMS has it also. Misnterpreted ang and that is why , as what I have always exhaustdly explain that RCC being the rightful body who compiled the books of the bible holds the EXPLANATION , the rest only relies on INDIVIDUAL INTERPRETATION.
