I'm Christian and I find this an interesting question. As far as I know and from what I read, ancient Hebrews didn't have 24-hour system back in the Old Testament period. An entire day began at when the sun sets and rises.

Ang changes ni abot na pag New Testament. In gospels like Mark used Jewish time while John used Roman time. Roman time starts from midnight to midnight. Jewish time sunset to sunrise.
