kay the way ka mu post imu raman gud tanawon ang MF for short term.
Then wala man pud mi ni sulti diri nga guaranteed ang returns. Sulti paman gani mi diri nga pang long term ang MF., kung need dayon nimu ang money for short term, dili pud ko mu offer nimu ug MF oi, alkasi.on palang ka, ako palang imu mahayon. Hehehe!

Bro, 5 years is not short term. And sorry if you felt ikaw akong gipasabot kay dili raba gyud. Hehe.

Sakto gyud na imong gi advise kay lisud na ikaw pay pasanginglan. Di raba kasabot nag mga tawo anang inherent risk sa investing.

I just want to contribute to a healthy discussion. Para naa sad tay value added sa istorya.net.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not dissing mutual funds. In fact, I am invested in mutual funds as well, both local and foreign. (And planning to get more exposure now that barato ug prices. Wa ko nakig-away sa mga taga IMG, in fact basin mupalit gani ko thru them - kay if mupalit kog MF karon, diri nalang sa IMG at least makatabang sa fellow istoryan.)

Keep an open mind lang pud. Broaden your horizons. There's so much out there. Nag-canvas pud gani ko ug mga TD karon aside from my research prior to re-entry sa stocks sa March. Kita kog around 7%, mmmmmm delicious. Hehe.

Nindot sad ang healthy discussion. At least, maka share sad ta sa uban tawo. Like me, gusto sad ko makahibalo about sa stock market and also some technical terms sa MF.

I dont think nag away ta diri kay ang mga willing to take more risks are into stocks,
and medjo conservative are into MFs. It's a healthy discussion.

Ill be in stocks as well maybe by the end of 2011. Murag kulang pa ako maturity so sa MF lang sa ko.
But Ill still keep my MF portfolio, while investing in stocks. But I don't think mag day trader ko, fundamental investing lang ako-a.
