I don't want to repeat my Gunpla fiasco of having too many. I hope rubbing alcohol is sufficient (I'll know in a few minutes). I'll report results later.

Yes! Successful stripping of paint using Simple Green. There are a few left and I think I may have been overzealous with the toothbrush but I hope that my 2nd attempt at repainting this would be sufficient to hide the flaws. Note that is is a 28mm (1.1 inch) figure.

I re-applied Chaos Black mixed with pledge wipe & shine and water and I feel there's a difference between with just water.

Either that or it's just my imagination. The true test would be when I apply Ultramarine Blue mixed the future polish/water mix tomorrow. Good luck to me.

Maybe with my 2nd Space Marine, I'd like you to be present so let's push through with the NG JY meet-up next month (medyo busy this month kay year end namo, so many reports to prepare).

There IS a difference. Pledge is self-levelling, so the scratches from brushing are gone. I'd be very happy to join you in a painting session. I have SEVERAL Grey Knights to paint, so it would be nice to have another person to paint with.

You can find some fine sized file sets at any hardware stores. Not as small as needle files but small enough but not in stock all the time.

Ignore the noob paint job. I have yet to find out whether using a magnifying glass would improve my painting accuracy.

Do you use a magnifier tool of some sort Jumps?

And Pledge wipe & shine + water mixed with paint will also help make your paint coats more durable. I use no magnifier for any of my painting, just a well-lighted area and a little faith.

@jumps: I see. I tried using a 6x handheld magnifier embedded on a large wad of BluTak but I found it awkward.

I've finished painting the post-Ultramarine Blue colors but too lazy to take a photo. I'll apply wash tomorrow morning and if I'm not tired by the evening, I'll highlight the edges. Then next would be a gloss varnish -> decals -> matte varnish.

Btw, do I need to thin the varnishes too using the pledge mix? My varnishes are from Vallejo.

I visited Golden Demon's site and the painted minis are truly works of art.
