who's generalizing again?
uhuh
uhuh
uhuhhhh..maybe you're not generalizing here and just happened to know whats going on inside msi & abit's manufacturing facilities eh?

yes that is true..it so happened that the manufacturer realtek has a driver problem with one of its products.
q: who makes/releases the audio drivers for realtek sound cards in msi?
a: its realtek.
q: who makes the audio drivers for every single mobo out there that uses realtek sound cards?
a: it's also realtek.
q: what motherboards used realtek's buggy driver at the time of its release?
a: everyone of them unless the mobo is released after a bug fix of the driver was also released
q: how does the consumer fix a driver problem like this one?
a: download and install the latest drivers if they had already fixed it. otherwise be a good citizen and report the bugs/erros that you found.
q: am i wrong in any of this?
a: i dont think so, but if you can prove that i am wrong on something, please do. i'm always open to being corrected and learn something new.
now i believe the latest driver prior to the release of the said mobo here was the one with the bug, so msi bundled that driver in the installation cd. now you think they are crap for doing that, right? lets make a somewhat similar example..say dell manufactures PCs. they bundled a windows OS when they sold to consumers. windows happened to have tons of bugs. who's fault is it?
i hope you could at least make a semi-intelligent argument here so that at least this can be a positive learning experience for both of us. i dont know what your problem is but i just hope that you fix that..err..i dont know, maybe attitude of yours. g'night
KNOWING its a BRANDNEW PC.... and it RESTARTS.... don't you think YOU HAVE TO START with the GAME ITSELF
You even tried to BLAME the VIDEO CARD and eventually it WAS THE AUDIO CHIP......
Please ALL Motherboard manufacturers check their Products.... so DON'T SAy if MSI has this problem... ABIT, ASUS etc will also have it.......
REALTEK makes the chip and the software/driver that comes with it is given to MSI, ASUS, ABIT to test.... MSI, ASUS, ABIT can modify the software/driver to suit their needs.....
In this case MSI wasn't able to see the bug.... and you say OTHERS will also have the bug..... which is CRAP.....
q: what motherboards used realtek's buggy driver at the time of its release?
a: everyone of them unless the mobo is released after a bug fix of the driver was also released
MAO ni GENERALIZE....... do you really think all motheboard manufactures don't come up with their own sets of software/driver modifications

PIKAT.... If they see errors they will modify or fix it before releasing for PUBLIC Consumption.....
q: who makes the audio drivers for every single mobo out there that uses realtek sound cards?
a: it's also realtek.
Wrong PRESUMPTION again..
REALTEK makes the BASIC drivers.... Motherboard manufacturers can modify or tweak it....
