    who's generalizing again?

    uhuh

    uhuh

uhuhhhh..maybe you're not generalizing here and just happened to know whats going on inside msi & abit's manufacturing facilities eh?

    ------------------------------------------------------

yes that is true..it so happened that the manufacturer realtek has a driver problem with one of its products.

q: who makes/releases the audio drivers for realtek sound cards in msi?
    a: its realtek.

q: who makes the audio drivers for every single mobo out there that uses realtek sound cards?
    a: it's also realtek.

q: what motherboards used realtek's buggy driver at the time of its release?
a: everyone of them unless the mobo is released after a bug fix of the driver was also released

q: how does the consumer fix a driver problem like this one?
a: download and install the latest drivers if they had already fixed it. otherwise be a good citizen and report the bugs/erros that you found.

q: am i wrong in any of this?
a: i dont think so, but if you can prove that i am wrong on something, please do. i'm always open to being corrected and learn something new.

now i believe the latest driver prior to the release of the said mobo here was the one with the bug, so msi bundled that driver in the installation cd. now you think they are crap for doing that, right? lets make a somewhat similar example..say dell manufactures PCs. they bundled a windows OS when they sold to consumers. windows happened to have tons of bugs. who's fault is it?

i hope you could at least make a semi-intelligent argument here so that at least this can be a positive learning experience for both of us. i dont know what your problem is but i just hope that you fix that..err..i dont know, maybe attitude of yours. g'night

KNOWING its a BRANDNEW PC.... and it RESTARTS.... don't you think YOU HAVE TO START with the GAME ITSELF

You even tried to BLAME the VIDEO CARD and eventually it WAS THE AUDIO CHIP......

Please ALL Motherboard manufacturers check their Products.... so DON'T SAy if MSI has this problem... ABIT, ASUS etc will also have it.......

REALTEK makes the chip and the software/driver that comes with it is given to MSI, ASUS, ABIT to test.... MSI, ASUS, ABIT can modify the software/driver to suit their needs.....

In this case MSI wasn't able to see the bug.... and you say OTHERS will also have the bug..... which is CRAP.....

q: what motherboards used realtek's buggy driver at the time of its release?
a: everyone of them unless the mobo is released after a bug fix of the driver was also released

MAO ni GENERALIZE....... do you really think all motheboard manufactures don't come up with their own sets of software/driver modifications PIKAT.... If they see errors they will modify or fix it before releasing for PUBLIC Consumption.....

q: who makes the audio drivers for every single mobo out there that uses realtek sound cards?
    a: it's also realtek.

    Wrong PRESUMPTION again..

REALTEK makes the BASIC drivers.... Motherboard manufacturers can modify or tweak it....

so who generalized? you seemed to be sure that it was the game that was the problem, without even thinking twice. and i did not blame the video card, i asked if it was the video card, since i dont know everything unlike you.

so did abit change/modify the sound driver for IP35 Pro made by realtek? hrmmm

oh and here's something else if you know how to read and understand:

    http://forums.anandtech.com/messagev...readid=2138484

is your head clear now or are you going to continue being stubborn?

disclaimer: i'm not singling out abit (or gigabyte) here, the reason why i used abit as an example because in my opinion i think they make the best motherboard with currently the best chipset of the fastest platform (P35 and core 2). nobody is perfect, even the best brands. and if abit or whatever motherboard company is having problems with their sound card (hardware/software), then i'm not going to blame them. imo its the card manufacturer's fault.

Again if realtek has bugs.... after testing it....

Will you sell it to your customers after you used that chip in your motherboard? Simple question

Common sense you will talk to realtek about the errors and not release the motherboard to the market until there is driver stability.....

Which in this case you started from the video card all the way to the audio chip....

    WAKA HASOLI?

Don't GENERALIZE.... until you can prove ALL MOtherboard manufacturers are AFFECTED.

Because they have different TECHNICIANS to check if all components are WORKING....

if you release a mobo on january 1, 2008, then your sound card manufacturers updated their drivers on january 10, 2008..and that driver has bugs? what happens? are you going to pull out your hardware products out of the market because of software errors?

btw i admit that i might be wrong on something, regarding what i mentioned about the mobo manufacturers dont make their own version of the driver provided by the manufcaturers of their components. this may not be the same case but i remember inno3d making their own drivers for the nvidia geforce3 Ti series, which were crap btw, i ended up downloading nvidia drivers on a very slow dial-up connection because they bundled their (inno3d) own driver in the package. so maybe, just maybe, the mobo guys might make their own driver (hardly worth their time if you ask me)

back on topic, you have been avoiding your issues that i pointed out in my previous post. you were clearly wrong on those, and you keep on bringing out new stuff (and you are also wrong on most if not all of those too.) you clearly dont know how to admit or accept defeat. i see no sense in arguing with you anymore. if it makes you happy, then i'll say you are right about everything mr ajol, the self-proclaimed know-it-all guru and expert on this hardware forum. kthnxbye & have a nice day

I will accept what you say

When you can show to me all MANUFACTURER's Crashing when playing DOTA using the same REALTEK chip..

It will show to me that ALL motherboards are EQUAL.... When one crashes with DOTA others will also crash with DOTA....
