what's the difference between trip hop and fusion? coz i have morcheeba's album "get mashed" and it's categorized as trip hop, but all the songs are black hip-hop, IMO with more substance. like the track "everybody just takes cocaine" was playing up dharma down in my iTunes player and the genre is fusion? ang ako lang, trip hop connotes drum n' bass. more beat-y. fusion is more on synths and smooth vocals. liboga oi!

I have a lil' info bowt trip hop.. since I have been captivated with this music already, I did a little research to expand my knowledge about it...

The "trip" in "Trip-Hop" (downtempo electronic music) refers to the "out-of-this-world" state following the use of a drug. This provides insight into Trip-Hop's strong connection with the senses. Furthermore, the "hop" in "Trip-Hop" indicates its roots in Hip-Hop.

trip hop gained notice via popular artists such as Portishead, Massive Attack, Tricky, and rock-influenced sound groups such as Ruby, California's DJ Shadow, and the UK's Howie B.
