third eye blind facts:

stephan jenkins- he was a validectorian at UCLA Berkley with a degree of english. Vanessa Carlton and charlize theron are among his famous exes. He has dyslexia and was once thought to never graduate high school because of his inability to read, count and distinguish letters from numbers. he can be seen on the movie "rockstar" starring jennifer aniston and mark whalberg. He also has his own leading role in an indie film (i forgot the title...hehehehehe). The song deep inside of you was partly written by his cousin. He can also be heard and seen on run dmc's comeback album some 6 years ago. he co- wrote most of the songs on vanessa carltons second album and is the executive producer on her second album entitled HARMONIUM. Jumper was written in memory of his close friend who died because of suicide. He was once in a duo group called puck and natty and their song entitled "just wanna be ur friend" can be seen on the beverly hills 90210 soundtrack.

Kevin Cadogan- he was a former student of the greatest guitar hero ever...JOE SATRIANI. he is half irish and half american. to this day he maintains a dual citizenship. one in US and one in Ireland. He wrote and co wrote almost half of the songs on the first and second album. He is now in a new band with the lead singer of smash mouth. (check out kevins myspace page.)

Aarion Salazar- Earned a degree in conservatory of music. He was once a bassist for a famous local band named FUNGO MUNGO. His biggest influence is THE WHO. He co-produced 3ebs second and third album. He also co produced one of better than ezras album. He can also be seen at the matrix evolution movie. (pay attention, he can only be seen for a split second)

Tony Fredianelli- He was the original guitarist of 3eb but because he was from las vegas he quit the first time because of the hassle on the schedule of going from san francisco to vegas. His son is a left handed guitar player. He has a solo project named breakneck speed. His is the most famous guitarist to ever come out of vegas.

Brad Hargreaves- He was the original drummer of counting crows before they ever made it big. He was later replaced by micheal urbano (ring a bell? check out 3ebs first album, look under losing a whole year.) when he joined 3eb. His side project is called year long disaster (ala led zep sound) and has been hailed by rollingstones magazine as one of the tope ten band to watch out this 08. He could be seen on the san francisco chronicle commercial way back before he was even famous. Has been named by bono of U2 as one of his favorite drummers of all time.

Some 3eb song meanings:

wounded- rape song
blinded- peeping tom (yup believe it, thats what the songs is actually all about)
semi charmed life- drug addiction specifically crystal meth
losing a whole year- a broken relationship that ended within the span of a year.
jumper- suicide and wishing you could have done something to prevent the damage.
10 days late- title pa lang obvious na. teenage pregnancy.
crystal baller- letting someone go and wishing you could have seen it in advance.
good man- its a song that revolves around the departure of kevin. (listen to it closely.)
narcolepsy- pretty obvious, no brainer. title pa lang.
darwin- a song that asks the most important question of all. is there really a god? why are we here? and above all what is religion? an eye opener song.
an ode to maybe- a shy guys song. he never gets a definite answer. thats why its maybe because its not a no neither is it a yes.
slow motion- a powerful song in the eyes of an addict. a journey into the unknown. for the first time we get to see what an addict really sees. a classic ghetto song.
hows it going to be- a failing relationship that ask a very tough question......HOWS IT GOING TO BE?
1000 julys- *** song. straight out *** song.
faster- again a *** song, straight out *** song.

My favorites are:
Semi-charmed life - obvious man jud na it's about drugs and drug-use.
Jumper - yes, when you listen to it repeatedly, you'd realize that it's about suicide, or jumping from a building or bridge.

its about suicide yes, but the line "i wish you would step back from that ledge" was a metaphor. step back from that ledge could mean a lot of things, jumping from a bulding is one, it could also be shooting yourself in the head, drug overdose and so on. the ledge was used to portray the persons death.

Burial shroud (Jumper) - The garment for the dead. Ex. The Shroud of Turin used to bury Christ. When photographed in special ways, it is said to reflect the image of Christ.

Dalva Bar (Wounded) - Popular for a rockin jukebox, the Dalva Bar is located 3121 16th St, San Francisco, next door to the Roxie 415.252.7740, always free...be 21.

Gone to code (Jumper) - Slang for "code blue", a term used in hospitals meaning a patient has gone into cardiac arrest or "flat-lined".

Haight Street (Background) - In the 1960s, San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district was a national symbol of the counterculture. The music, the clothes, the drugs, and the lifestyle thrilled a generation of American youth and outraged their parents. Now home to trendy bars, restaurants and shops.

Happenstance (I Want You) - A circumstance especially that is due to chance.

Oblivion (Hows It Going To Be) - The condition or instance of forgetting, or being forgotten.

Swing (hows it going to be)- slang term meaning to take a hit, specifically with the use of a fist. to punch.

10 days late- slang expression that means a girl just got knocked up. meaning pregnant.

knocked up- another word that means pregnant, or has gotten pregnant depending on how you use it.
