I think it is not a question whether you have the money or not, but whether you need the 3G feature or not. So, for those of you who are loss in this topic: 3G is like wireless broadband access. You need it? buy the phone. You don't need it? don't buy it. BUT then, 3G is not the only feature on the phone that is the deciding factor to buy.Originally Posted by malaki
IMO, the objective of the topic is to cite situations and help people understand how to maximize the use of 3G in order for them to decide whether they need it or not. Mark and I have set some clear examples posted earlier on this thread.

i need 3G connection.
here's the situation. im currently in singapore. i have a prepaid 2g Globe kababayan sim. now 2g here is becoming congested as more foreigners are on prepaid. and most specially in my area, there are times wala gyud signal bcoz of the congestion.
Singtel suggested 2g users to switch to 3g network. i took the heed as i cant be w/o signal. Currently on 3G plan. no prob at all. and with a HSDPA phone, i can connect up to 3.5G speeds. 3.5G is up to 9x faster than 3G. so data connection is definitely faster.
i even post on istorya sometimes through my mobile.
Unless your Plan is 5T.
