3D Max, Maya, etc., are all heavily CPU and RAM dependent. They are all written to take advantage of as many cores as you can throw at them. GPU is used for effects and applying textures but rendering is all about CPU and RAM power.

Didn't we discuss 3D rendering before......

Not sure why peeps pushing for "gaming card' when his "high gamut" monitor won't let him use GTX or Titan....ang monitor nya kai "bottle neck" sa gaming cards.

John - Palita ang rig nya post sa BnS ang 2x gpu para ang halin bagsak sa Quadro or Firepro, whichever is cheapest....You don't need the latest, most expensive, "Workstation" gpu - 125bus and above will suffice.

We still need to know what 3D software you're using ....basin 'Sketchup' ra di.ay

Benchmark is misleading....Quadro wasn't used for 3D Max or Maya.
Quadro's/Firepro's have specific driver and API for 3D Max/Maya/InfraWorks.
Can't use Quadro's/Firepro's for everyday use (gaming, webrowsing, FB, streaming video's, etc.,).

TS still has to respond what 3D software his intending to use. Everything overkill if using "Sketchup/Blender/AC3D"
Rather spend all that $$$ with "high gamut' monitor than in hdw kung "sketchup" ra di.ay

Just had person built "sketchup" ITX, excluding monitor and hdd, for less than $250.00usd.

TS has the budget, he has the right intentions, might not have mentioned specific softwares but he also specified gaming. Having an 4790 and that 2nd hand titan, which is more flexible, would prep him up for whatever purpose he might soon require down the road. Besides 3d softwares are rapidly switching to the much faster gpu accelleration.

An IPS monitor would be enough for now. He can buy a dell later.

    Thats smarter budget appropriation IMO.
