Gonna buy the PSU and GPU tomorrow! Decided na jud ko sa Asus GTX 960 Strix, but the PSU is still to be determined, depende ug unsay in-stock sa Nutech (or PCQB), as long as it's a decent 500W or greater modular (or semi-modular) PSU.

Go for the better branded 500w over a higher wattage modest psu.

In order:
Seasonic
Corsair
Silverstone
Fsp
Antec

Dont get a 650w fsp over a 500w seasonic. On the other hand, dont get 600w corsair 80+ standard over 500w silverstone bronze or something like that. But beware of some psus claiming 80+ efficiency but have no certification (like some labelled 87 plus, it's not an ecos consulting label). Anyway, i think you get the logic.

Yup, the Seasonic M12II-520 EVO is first on my list, but if it's not available I'll take the next best thing. Anyway, ug wala jud sila'y available nga decent PSU I can still use my friend's Silverstone Strider Gold temporarily until mahalin to.

Nakapalit na gyud tawn ko'g PSU ug GPU, up and running na akong first modest gaming rig. I bought the Asus GTX 960 Strix, ug Corsair VS550. Wala naman gud stock sa PCQB or Nutech SM sa Seasonic M12II-520 EVO, ug ang ilang available nga mga modular PSUs kay mahal ra kaayo. So I opted for the VS550 because 1) it's cheap and 2) it's 80 Plus rated (sa EU).

I would have preferred a modular PSU kay huot kaayo ang akong case (Cougar Archon), pero na da ra man hinuon nako. Taas2x gamay ang temps sa GTX 960 kung mag gaming ko so far sa akong gisuwayan nga games (Skyrim, Company of Heroes 2, Xcom), but not by much. Ang idle temps kay naa sa mga 39 C to 42 C, nya kung mag gaming kay muabot ug mga 65 C, but dili mu lapas ug 70 C. Bear in mind nga un-airconditioned room ni, so mga 30 C ang ambient temps. All in all bugnaw ra jud ang Asus GTX 960 Strix.
