I'm sure writers and coaches wouldn't give their nod on MVP if a player is just gifted , yes he needs a little pushing at times but the talent is clearly there , plus I've seen guys with big hands that can't shoot or dribble.
Its just that his talent is not as good as Durant's or Lebron's, but he beat the crap out of them, He just does it all without overstepping boundaries and that's something majority of the superstars can't do, not even Lebron can do that. so I think it has something to do with the IQ rather than talent.

yep very deserving. kawhi's been a big factor winning this championship. lisud pd kau ni iyahang role ky permi depensa sa mga star players of opposing team. struggle kau SPURS that time when he was injured sa regular season. mura pd ni robot bataa, wa'y emotion, mhalon kau ug kinataw-an lol. sakto kau ang SPURS org. when they traded george hill to Kawhi. who would have thought he will be the Finals mvp?!. hopefully a bright future for this humble kid in just SPURS uniform, just like Timmy!.

Point taken , I agree that he hasn't measured up to Durant or Lebron but the future is scary , if this kid can mature and sharpen his skills with his already good IQ and physical attributes who knows.

THis statement can be applied to a yound and upcoming Lebron James, his asset is his size and most of his score was from drive and layups (which resulted to FTs) when he became pro, he has no jumpshot (before) but he gradualy developed it.
that is why Lbj has no luck in the playoffs back in his early days, teams just knew this and defended Lebron very well so he cannot penetrate the paint and was forced to take jump shot (same thing happen to latest NBA finals).
his drive and penetration was his primary offense because of his size.

by the way I am still a Lebron hater, I just made my point that Kawhi is almost identical to Lebron in comparison when it comes to profile. the only difference is, Ego vs humble.
Lebron's earlier time, he always refer to himself in 3rd person during interview.

If Pop's plan pushes thru, wherein he will built the team around Kawhi, then we are seing the next LBJ and he just won the finals MVP.

I dont think rough play ang naka foul trouble ni leonard. Bisag wa nahikapan si Leavebron, tawagan man foul si Leonard but yes he's definitely deserving of the FINALS MVP. Kaubo si Kingkong James
