Question... dili langko mo backread kay taas kaayo.

To tell you in my experience, 10 years ago kato naapa ko sa Davao, hambogera kaayo akong ex-gf kay barato ra kuno ang inyong kuryente unya sa Cebu City mahal kaayo ato kuryente.

I understand what PNoy thinks. Who cares if mo ingon mo naa moy right kay naa ninyo ang Maria Cristina Hydro Power Plant? Kay ngano, ang Leyte walay power plants? Ang Cebu walay power plants? Mahal man gani ato kuryente sa Cebu.

Back to the present... Pila diay ron ang rate sa Mindano? Please enlighten me.

At the end of the day, the painful economic truth prevails over political rhetoric.... if im not mistaken, there was a price control on electricity in Mindanao... preventing prices to appreciate meant that eventually the suppliers will have to forego some costly preventive maintenance which eventually will decrease the efficiency of their generators resulting to decrease power supply. in the short run, mindanao enjoyed cheap electricity, to spur economic growth. on the longer run, power shortage. The same thing will happen with the rest of the country if we seek political solution to an economic problem. Price controls do more harm on the long run. We should learn to think beyond stage one.

You're missing the forest for the trees.

What's happening in Mindanao is Meralco all over again. Instead of the state doing its responsibility of subsidizing the energy sector, it chooses to privatize, which may not look bad on paper, but consumers end up getting the short end of the stick. Why? Just whom did Cory Aquino sell Luzon's electricity to? *cough Meralco/Lopezes cough*

The current president's simply following the footsteps of her inutile mother.

Make it seem government is inefficient with utilities, assert calls for privatization, and then sell at a discount to friends and relatives. Make a profit.

Then dili owned by Lopezes ang electricity sa pinas. Basin nakalimot mo nga usa sa biggest supplier of power kay Aboitiz?

Anyway, to cut the story short... high price of electricity is happening all over the country.

Kung naana pod mo reklamo, I'm not saying ALL of the Mindanaoans nag usik2x ug kuryente.

^Reading comprehension sad panagsa. I only said Cory sold Meralco to the Lopezes during her administration, NOT that the Lopezes still own the company now.

Aboitiz being one of the largest power distributors is neither here nor there. The point is, Aquino's attempts to privatize power in Mindanao is similar to the previous privatization of Meralco, where obvious collusion between government and cronies took place.

Pataka langka ug sulti dinha.

Join mo oy, dili mag ija2x.
