1. Filipino values? Does everyone in the world have to fit into Filipino values?
2. Immoral? Immoral to who? Immoral to you? ... or immoral to all? Who is anyone to condemn pornography as immoral? Not until the Victorian era was pornography considered pornography. Rome, arguably the greatest empire to ever rule Earth worshipped it. Ancient Greeks, the fathers of Western Civilization (yes that includes the Philippines), did the same. Who are you?
3. Filipinos brag about values, but yet growing up in Cebu, there was NEVER anything that stopped me from getting my fill of smut as kid! We have values? But we just don't practice it? We just don't control it? ... or even try to? We just keep talking about it. More and more I feel that these values only exist in tradition, not practice.
4. The US is far ahead of Filipino society. The US still discusses it, the country knows it exists ... but it has gotten farther as a society to know that it cannot be snuffed out (although some try), but it surely can be controlled so that it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. The country has gone through Deep Throat. How far has the Philippines gone into being open about pornogrophy and offering concrete solutions? It is not enough to say ... DO NOT DO WATCH PORN BECAUSE GOD WILL PUNISH YOU AND IT IS AGAINST FILIPINO VALUES! I would personally like watching porn over going to church and listening to how many ways I'm going to hell.

1.Last time I heard, values are universal. We are not asking everyone to adapt to us. But we can preserve what we have.

2. Do i need to be "somebody" to say it is? Maybe if u read on ur religion, u'll see why it is immoral. Not until the Victorian era (so u say), was there a term officially attached to it, u mean. And just because the "greats" didn't think it was immoral, doesn't mean it's not. Just because it's ok for some people, doesn't mean it's not.

3. Maybe you don't but I was raised in a family who have values. And it's sad these values are slowly being wiped out, yours for example. Sorry pero you said you don't have any. If the people you're with don't have any, do u have to go with the flow? I believe some people have "prinsipyo" man sad.

4. DO NOT DO WATCH PORN BECAUSE GOD WILL PUNISH YOU AND IT IS AGAINST FILIPINO VALUES! It's enough if u have the mind. ideally. Again, just because the US is open with it and ok with it, doesn't mean we have to be like the US.

This is exactly why you and I will never see eye to eye. How self-centered can anyone be to believe that their values, morals, and religion apply to everyone? Universal values? Your values? Are your values universal? I ask you again ... who in the hell are you to think that your views are held by me and have the audacity to tell me that I don't have morals because we don't share the same? Who are you? Emperor? ... that you have power to dictate values to the people? You say you don't need to be somebody to say something is immoral ... but no one has ever had that power except the church (who history has showed ... is far from having Christian morals) and emperors. We agree on one thing though ... pornography, moral or immoral? ... it is a stupid question because people hold different views of morality. What is even more stupid though is people thinking theirs trumps all.

Anyone with a little background on ethics will see that we don't know squat how to decide what is moral or immoral; ethical or unethical. Sure, there are theories, and there are counter theories. There are lots of gray issues - mercy killing, abortion, divorce, etc. We are talking about the morality of pornography, not each other.

Let us not bring in sexist comments. Let us not bring in religion. God rained fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah. Would you do the same to every homosexual you meet?

Because instead of doing more fruitful and productive , people are more inclined in the campaign against PORNOGRAPHY while mga tiyan nila ga KUTOY .
