for a show without Batman, it sure is still all about Batman. it seems like Fox didn't have the cojones to make this Batman-free because Jim Gordon here(who lives in a swanky penthouse suite wtf?) revolves around Batman's world before Batman even came into the picture completely. Batman references, Batman villains, Batman characters, Batman everything all at once. it would have been better if all of this was built up and brought in slowly as the show/seasons progressed. it was unnecessary to throw everything they had in the first episode.
and the second half of the episode was pointless since Falcone owns the cops, the Mayor and most likely every authority figure in the city. Montoya and the Spectre wouldn't have been able to do anything and just let things be the way they are.
also that retarded face cam
pilot was terrible, but I'll give it a second chance.
