You guys should definitely try slax.. I can be installed on a mini-cd and bootable pa cya, It uses your RAM to install the files; it's good alternative to back-up files in the event that you windows breaks down

Slax is definitely a good alternative also. . You should try the KillBill Edition. KDE Desktop, Openoffice, Gaim, Firefox and Thunderbird and with wine too for your windows apps.

mga bro....kinsa man naa cd sa Alinux?? mas nindot pa man gud ni sya kaysa sa ubuntu na distro.....

ako naa ko. although i like alinux formerly pnut linux...but the only thing that bothers a lot is the installation.
its awfully hard to install..
alinux has a very user-friendly interface murag XPÂ* but installation-wise, it is not that user-friendly,IMHO.

in what way do you think nga mas nindut pa sa ubuntu bai?siguro wla lang ko ka-notice kung naa..

yeah u should login as root.

type df -h then look for ur windows partition.
then type fdisk/cfdisk /dev/hda1 .. this is just an example assuming ur windows partition is /dev/hda1.

do u want to format it as a linux filesystem or windows filesystem?

I really like Slackware and Gentoo.. I dont know why. hehe

Ang first jd nako na na use na distro kay Slackware. Then kay ni order man ko atong free Ubuntu na CDs, mao to ako nalang sad g gamit. Pero dili man kaayo ko nahan sa ubuntu. Dili ko comfortable sa iyang style sa package management (apt-get). Mas gnahan ko sa Slackware ug Gentoo. Maka customize jd ka kung unsa imong gusto i-install.

Dili sad ko gnahan sa Ubuntu kay iyang default kay GNOME. I like fluxbox better.

You're right Ubuntu sucks (for me that is).
It makes me wonder why people still look for it though...
