If there is really no election at Maguindanao, then the opposition, or Koko Pimentel for that matter, should be amenable with special elections. But they don't want special elections to be held, as if disenfranchising the electorate in Maguindanao will give them good credits.

Anyway, Zubiri has proven he can be an efficient legislator in his three terms at the House of Representatives. On the other hand, Koko Pimentel won't even win in his own hometown.

Maybe Koko wants to help his father on his senate presidential bid that he wants have the 12th spot. Apparently, Nene Pimentel wants to be the next senate president. But allies of Manny Villar are showing strong support for him to be the next senate president. Hence, the need of Koko's vote should he be on the 12th spot.

It might be too late for him though, especially when he's not doing anything for a fast proclamation of the 12th senator. His stand on the votes of Maguindanaons is still not clear, maybe because he’s on the losing end.
