portfolio is not required but its a plus..
it doesnt have to be a past project or experienced with actual client, it could also be a project study like a web design study, a web project.. even joining a startup group can be used as a portfolio..

yes gamit jud kaau na TS....
dont bother. unless you are applying for graphics designer and ui/usability designer.
it's easy to tell a programmer kung kamao ba or dili. Paexplainon ra nimo ug *pointer ang usa ka programmer, or pangutan-on ra ug nganong lingin man ang manhole, mailhan man kung kamao or dili.
Anyway, nowadays, technical skills nowadays are lesser important than attitude and soft skills. Technical skills is trainable. Attitude is very difficult to change.
naa pa d i na ang manhole question karon? murag overused na man na. hehe... daghan na maka-answer bsan dli common sense kay naa na mga answers sa net.
any UI related job will need a portfolio. even frontend devs sometimes are asked for a portfolio.
portfolio will increase your chances of getting noticed and anything you put there will be used against you in the interview stage
The reason nga nganong kabalo ka because you read and passionate about tricky questions, then you have bigger chance. I am sure there are more people dont know about it and there are more questions other than manhole question.
*Pointer is overused question too but sad but true many programmer dont understand what is all about.
Bringing a portfolio is a double-edge sword,
kay if example, if you bring a portfolio to an interview, sometimes its not the OUTput that is reviewed but its how you designed(not UI designed) and wrote the code if limpyo, flexible ug dli spaghetti. Bsag nindut ang result pero ang pagkasulat kay hugaw aw madelikado na hinoo nimo pagpangapply.
Software development is general, web development is under them.
yes you can. but need not to show the application it self. in that case, just explain the process.
yes sakto ka. by bringing and showing it to them, everything will be subject to scrutiny. expect that you know what you did.
