So many laws and hardly any properly enforced... what a joke it is when no investigation is required, the crime committed in broad daylight in a public market and yet is somehow too bothersome for our elected leader. Maybe we just wait for the lawbreakers to fine themselves? In the meantime an endangered species becomes more critically endangered thanks to... well, what's the word?
Complacency, laziness?
Every illegal and unethical dish allowed to be served brings a species one step closer to extinction. Do Filipinos want to be part of that irreversible action? Do we not promote ourselves as a tourist destination and claim to be proud of the Whale Shark etc? Unless this is just for show I suggest we try being a bit more consistent with our policies Our leaders too should know better than to undermine any law, particularly one which requires educating folks.
