If you're having an upgrade itch...upgrade to at least 2 tiers higher than your current setup to feel the massive gain in performance.upgrading to an i3 or a10 is more like sidegrade...baka nga downgrade pa yan in some applications
sold my amd and change to i3 3220.....
against all advices. so, how does it perform compared to your old rig?
ok kau ang performance.... ala gyud ko nagmahay...........lahi ra kay sa akoa phenom
ang calculation per second sa akoa phenom 2 x4 quad core was 7.4
my i3 3220 dual core calculation per second is 7.2
Yap it should went down jud coz nag tuo cguro c TS the lower mas pas2x. Mas dako ang sa phenom coz of it's multiple cores but then again real world performance counts and I thinks the i3 is definitely a bit more responsive..
on real multi threaded apps, the phenom with 4cores matters, but the question is: how many apps do you use that really use its quadcore?
the i3, in many discipline is way responsive than the Phenom X4 @ lower power consumtion and that includes the everyday apps for browsing net, watching movies, download and many games.
so practically, theres nothing wrong with ur i3 @.2points lower
unless you are doing 3D render | HD Video editing.
nevermind editing with Adobe, just have a gud nvidia with CUDA for CS5 or ATI HD VC with OpenCL for CS6
yes i know mas taas gyud ang sa phenom na 7.4 but, lahi ang performance sa i3 maski ni lower siya by .02....i am happy and satisfied with my i3.
