for me, ok ra ang bayantel though kinda mahal cya compared to pldt and globe. during the Taiwan e.quake, dito ra ko ni.bilib nila k wala jud totally down amo internet, nihinay lang pero ok ra kaysa wa jud connection. regarding their customer service... sometimes mejo sablay sila like what boygwapo posted. it's not entirely bayantel's fault, i think sa ila sab nang uban na customer rep. good if makatiming ka na ang motubag dili munghaw na mangambot lang about the situation k makasapot jud. i've had my share of highblood moments with them back then to the point na moulbo na tanang kaspa nako. but now, in fairness to bayantel, i think they have improved and i'm quite satisfied with their service.

BayanTel DSL is not really that good. Sometimes, their tech support in Manila are stupid to deal with in times of troubleshooting, although not so stupid as in PLDT. Even their Cebu technicals sometimes are funny. One time they told my mate that I need to change my AVR for my AVR cant handle the three gadgets, which are the modem, router, and 24-port switch. How stupid, seems they dont know that a standard AVR is capable of handling up to 500watts of power where these three gadgets have max. estimate of 35 watts each. Later, I have found out that most of their DNSs are not stable and faulty, too many "request time out" in every droptest, that caused my line to frequent not to trip off. Another one, their rates are really more expensive compared to PLDT and GLOBE and with lower bandwidth speed offered. They are quite slow in bandwidth competition improvement.

Although, all in all, I still choose them from the ever blessed PLDT and Globe. I know most of subscribers here know why, no need to explain.

One thing I just love from them is how fast they response in times of troubles in your line, they really give a help right away. And their high officers are very approachable not like others there that seems dont know who are their real assets, and who make their company alive.

I just hope BayanTel DSL shall improve more and do something also to their quite lame technical personnels(some) for good.

Anyway, this is just my personal opinion as an experienced subscriber of PLDT, Globe, and BayanTel.

ya, i think BayanTel is a promising server...service & price- maybe too early to tell...and i guess, there's always room for improvement. :mrgreen:
