UPGRADE: SSD vs PROCIE/MOBO/RAM

Go for SSD... It's not only the loadtime that you will be happy with. I am so happy with my system now using SSD. I will never go back to having HDD as my system drive.

Been using it for more than a year. I let another borrow one ssd for several months. Nabuwisit sila for a day ug got really angry with the PC, kay gikuha nako sa SSD kay gamiton na nako. I intended to let them use it for a few days but they got used to it for several months. Immediately I got 5000 pesos for 60gb SSD. Once you use an SSD you can never go back!!! I'll use the 5000 pesos to buy an 120 gb intel ssd for 4,200 pesos. Problem is dugay pa kaayo moabot.

We actually have the same upgrade path bro. Dili pud ingon kusog ako pc, but I'd rather go for an ssd for the sake of new experience then upgrade the vc/procie which I already know what the outcome is.

Just an update sa ako post, I recently upgraded to a Crucial 128GB and it's definitely given me a new experience. I cannot imagine going back to hdd's now

Ok ra sir pang OS ug games ra man pud. Though ang games limitado ra mga 4-5 games ra guro ako mainstall.

More or less same ta ug situation bro Arch. I was kinda hesitant to upgrade to SSD pro ako lang jud gipiyongan. Bought the Kingston 240Gb SSD. Night ang day ang difference sa akong old set up specially sa boot/loading times. I am never going back to Mechanical HDDs for my system although I still have them on my set up for storage.

^ taod2x pa na mo barato ang SSD bro... mahal pa ang ICs na gamit nila... gold wire man gud gamit pa... if mo migrate sila ug gamit ug copper wire for the interconnects, then that is the time na mo ubos ang prices sa mga SSD... for storage, nothing can beat the mechanical HDD as of the moment... as well as 3 to 5 yrs from now (approx lang ni ha)...

i still dont wana go ssd for now. i dont have apps that constantly reads/writes to hdd to really make it worthwhile getting one. dont care much of boot ups, eufi+fast boots enough

^SSD's all about response. Funny cause that's my line of thought right before I experienced it myself.
