bai jcboy, just to clear things out with the holy trinity = holy family, hehehe...and calling mary our mother
as a Catholic, i hope you and the guys on this thread don't mind if i share a bit about our understanding of doctrine
first, holy trinity has nothing to do with the holy family..hehe
holy family is just Joseph,Mary and Jesus...with joseph and mary being obedient to the Father and Jesus as the Savior incarnated to mary by the Holy Spirit...i think it's just right to call them Holy family and the kind of family we should all look up to...
Holy Trinity is simply God the Father,Son and Spirit...
They are One 'cause of the many verses in the bible indicating that the Father and The Son are equal...
that whoever saw the Son have seen the Father...that whoever Hears the Son hears the Father
that whoever obeys the Son obeys the Father..
verses like in the beginning was the word and the word was made flesh...so on so forth..
verses like through Jesus all things were made and by Him all things hold together....
and regarding the holy spirit being equal with the father and the son
during the great commission, Jesus said His disciples
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,"
verses which paul wrote such as:
"but whenever a man turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. and regarding calling mary our mother, if we are God's children, if Jesus was His Son
and Jesus came to be the savior of the world and became human incarnated through mary...
so mary is Jesus mother...so mary is the mother of my savior and my brother...therefore, it is right to call her mother..hehehe...(calling mary mother does not mean that i worship her ok?hahaha)
it's just honoring the mother of God as how Elizabeth the mother of John the baptist addressed mary when mary visited her..and also claiming my right as a son of God which Jesus the Only Son of God bought for a price

through Jesus we inherit the right(only the right 'cause God has only 1 son) to be called children of God
hence we call Father God His Father and we call mary our mother as she is Jesus' earthly mother...

at the foot of the cross, Jesus entrusted john to mary as her Son
and mary to john as his mother...same principle...

even kita mga tao, we are a triune being..often regard to having body,soul and spirit...

i think God and man are almost identical, except that God cannot sin and never ceases to Love

if man can love and sacrifice, God can do it gazillion times better..hehehe

all of the things i mentioned are found in the bible, however i respect if dili ka mutoo 'cause

however i believe there are greater Laws that God has installed over religious laws...
