ang BPI wai regional interbranch(bank branch-to-branch with the same bank) fee pero naay interbank (bank-to-bank)fee.

most of the banks ky naa ny regional inter-branch fee; labi na sa inter-bank, naa jud na fee. pero again, naa jud ny exemptions to the rule.
Citibank has that special account nga pwede ra wai fees sa remittances from Citibank to other banks worldwide. pero nosebleed pud ang requirement pra ma qualified ka.

We agree. Nosebleed ang maintaining balance sa Citibank, hehehe, so we strongly suggest you go with BPI.

The BPI Express account has a very low maintaining balance of P500.

You simply fill out the application form online and wait for the bank's e-mail 1 week later for the scheduled pick up of your ATM card (and the money you want to deposit... most of the time, they won't ask you to deposit ra gali).

Online enrollment of your account also increases the maximum withdrawal amount from 20k to 50k a day.

Very happy so far with BPI.

Caveat: Although the bank does not charge any interbranch fees (BPI to BPI), beware of the flat inter-bank incoming remittance fee of P150.

Not just for OFWs but also for local transactions, bro.

If mag transfer ka ug money from say Unionbank to BPI... or Citibank to BPI.... or Allied Bank to BPI... the amount that reaches the BPI account of the recipient is less than P150.

Example lang... If someone sends you P500 from Unionbank to BPI... di na P500 ang madawat nimo.... P350 nalang.

The P150 is the incoming remittance fee charged by BPI. Same thing with PayPal to BPI transactions (except sa mga Odesk users).
