For an island nation I've always thought it peculiar that we don't have a robust navy... come to think of it most Filipinos can't even swim! I guess recent events have woken a lot of people up, now we've got a great deal of catching up to do.

daghan nang mga locally made ships MPAC was developed many moons ago... first batch was made sa taiwan then the 2nd are made locally (probably sa propmech yard sa alang2x mandaue), sauna naa natay General Emilio Aguinaldo class nga patrol vessel but it was plauged by design issues so duha ray nabuhat

daghan mga local ship builder are hesistant in dealing with the govt because of the track record with dealing with them, Steelcraft who built the CROC, HariDigma and some other Army armored vehicle had learned the hardway but i guess thier nationalism are more stronger than the fear of going bunkcrupt...

beside one important in SRDP is R&D and then MONEY!!!

Ang usa sad sa di ganahan sa mga Local Builders in dealing with government project, kay inig puli ug administrasyon mapasagdan na sila, dili na punduhan ang projects tungod kay dili ma credit sa current adinistration... And another one is the outright cancellation of projects, pangitaan lang ug gamay na issue, i cancel na daun, luoy sad ang nag invest kay ma thank you ilahang capital...
