Israel was outnumbered but they were hardly outgunned. The quality of the Israeli fighters were top-notch then. Also the IDF's preemptive strike guaranteed them air superiority for the rest of the war, I don't think our PAF will be able to even enter Chinese airspace or threaten the PLAN capital ships, let alone get to its objectives.

I don't think the Arabs had that bad equipment, they had MiGs and were using modern Russian tanks while the Israelis had WWII Shermans although modified guns. The thing was that Israelis had no option if they lost, to win was to survive.

It's not the technology and equipment but the training. The Israelis were better trained than their Arab counterpart that's why they were very effective.

The bulk of the Arab armor was made up of T-34s, whereas the Israelis had Shermans with upgraded guns.the Arabs had newer Soviet equipment like T-54-55s, and I think Jordan used some modern American armor. Fishbeds were very much modern then, but Mirage III were too. But the biggest factor is the strategy. Most of the combat aircraft destroyed during the war was in the ground--only about 1/4 was destroyed in aerial combat. And many of the arab runways were nonoperational after 'Focus'. Intel was also very good, they scoped the opposition very well before the strike.

nindota uy. they succeeded because they were prepared for this, they carried it out to the letter, and had a lot of luck. or should i say, their Yahweh. hmm...

they won easy.. but the retaliation from egypt with syria was not that easy for the israelis.. using the advance technology of the soviets they simply squash the israeli tanks and planes from the "beggining of the retaliation."
