Usahay ang maka trapik sa banilad or country mall kana mang man labang sa ilalaom sa overpass. Gi himo-an bitaw na ug overpass nya ang ubang taw di jud gamiton ang overpass. Dili sad sila mahadlok ligsan. Ang mga jeepney nga mu hunong sad diha dapita. Unsaon!

I've been driving in the city for quite some time and I've noticed that what really contributes to the traffic are the undisciplined Jeepney and Taxi driver....

Take for instance, I was driving straight in a line, then here comes this jeepney coming from the right side swerving immediately to the left going in front of me, after which mu swerve napod balik padung sa right para magkuha ug pasahero even if it wasn't a jeepney stop (mura siya ug Nagsayaw-sayaw tan-awon)... I almost caught an accident during that time... And I've experienced that not once but over a hundred times already... Sometimes maamong na hinuon ka, meaning, hapit ka makabangga ug lain sakyana kay kusog kaayo sila mu-ilog ug lane.... Sometimes they steal lanes, do some overtaking WITHOUT using their signals...

Take also this instance at the (old) Mandaue Flyover going to Highway... My car and others were waiting in line to climb up the overpass since traffic sa unahan... Then here comes those undisciplined 21Bs nga mu kalit ug ilog ug pwesto right in front of even if nagdagan na ang sakyan.... They simply just don't follow lanes....

I agree with the previous poster that there should be a Centralized Mass Transport system.... unlike the current set-up nga kung kinsa lay maka tag-iya ug Jeep himuon dayon ug jeepney maski walay franchise.... One way to achieve this is to set a grace/transition period wherein buses and other forms of mass transportation will be introduced and the jeepneys should be gradually phased out... Of course, roads should be widened and overpasses built..... Take a look at the North Reclamation Area, gwapo kaayo ang mga dalan diha if only na maintain ug tarong... Look at ML Quezon Highway, try driving from Plaza Independencia going to SM City or International Port and you will feel as if you're in ROXAS Boulevard of Manila...

city is an old city, wala na tarong plano sa atong mga katiguwangan... look at davao and cagayan... maanindot
gyud ug mga dalan kay naplano man ug tarong 'una na himo ug dako nga syudad...

Actually na tarong man siya ug plano... In fact the North Reclamation Area (including the Mandaue Recla) is proof of this..... Those places, if ma develop ug maayo will really become some sort of a future city.... Nindot ang networking sa iyang mga dalan.... Lapad na pod kaayo (especially the one in Mandaue Recla)....

Unfortunately, wala na maintain ug maayo ang mga dalan sa North recla, except perhaps for the ML Quezon Highway which looks like Roxas Boulevard... I hope sad nga with the development of the Cebu BoardWalk and the eventual relocation of Cebu Doctors' University, ma tarung pod ug maintain and develop ang Mandaue Recla....

Yah, I saw the grand plan for that place... and it was starting with some businesses and construction
of that big building intended for warehouse club... i forgot the name but unfortunately stopped coz' of
the world market crashed... last time i drove on that area... mora ko ga off-road...

what i mean cebu city was an old city... downtown cebu ... colon/magallanes area was really really old
and it was way old for our "katigulangan" to imagine what the cebu right now. My Mom said, that magallanes
was the colon at her time, it was the center of cebu business and stores...

Yup... It's Uniwide Sales........... Wala natiwas kay murag na lugi jud but fortunately it will soon be converted into a Trade and Exhibit Center... You're right, hangtud karon naa gihapon parts nga mura ka'g ga off-road... But I hope that things will soon change... Kinahanglan ma divert na jud ang uban establishments into that place para ma decongest na ang old parts sa city... Good that Cebu Doc is building its campus in that area (at the Cebu Boardwalk part)...

Another suggestion to ease the traffic is to make narrow roads one way...Â* I myself was amenable to having Colon St. one-way....

With regards to the Banilad area, there's a part of the road widening project which was not finished... It's the one near Foodland.... Kung maka notice ka especially kanang duol sa Skywalk....
