that statement came from my dad & several of my uncles..they have always said nga asenso kaayo ang pinas when healthy pa si marcos.

another thing, i am not pro corona, i am simply against sa mga binuhatan ni abnoy. magpakalimpyo ug magpaka aron ingnon. mga simple & narrow minded lang motoo sa iya mga bot2x.

my main point lang is i don't believe in most things like most people do. like i don't think GMA is as evil as the media portrays her or like the aquinos, dili lang ky si abnoy are not as clean as the media shows & what "intelligent" pinoys believe.

ninoy the hero, yes i think so, cory the saint? well maybe but that for me doesn't she was an effective president, abnoy the rock star? sus ginoo ko pwera gaba nalang.

but ang mga tao pud tawn too pud sa mga bot2x.

i dont think thats the reason.... it was during the 2nd term ni Marcos where a lot of political abuses happened. Political opponents would just suddenly disappear.

Maayo man kaayo ang first term ni Marcos.... i think partly it was his failing health that allowed his cronies to essentially run the country. Ang defacto leader ato nga time was General Ver and Imelda.

you could make a case for Marcos brilliance but the positive things he did remains intertwined with the abuses towards the end of his term.

Naay difference between strictness and oppression. When your friends suddenly disappear after expressing disagreement with the police, the AFP and the administration, that's not strictness. The lessons of martial law are all but forgotten today. We wanted Cory to be a savior for Marcos. We wanted Gloria to be a savior from Erap. We wanted Noynoy to be a savior from Gloria's corruption. Now we look back at how 'great' Marcos was and how Bongbong can be the next savior. Same cycle.

True, Marcos made positive changes during his time, but it only takes one move to topple all the good things you've built. Marcos was a corrupt dictator, let's not try to sugarcoat that. The man lusted after power and squandered his intelligence by desperately trying to cling to it.

+1 and Like!

Anyway as the saying goes "BEHIND EVERY SUCCESSFUL MAN, THERE IS A WOMAN" hehe matud pa usa ka reliable source.
